She doesn't know how good she is. So humble, enjoy you

Sydnie was absolute perfection! Best of all, and what came out in her brilliant performance, was how grounded and REAL she is. Watching how her family reacted and how she reacted with her family...she is a gift of soul, a superb example of what is best in a human with a balance of humor and hard earned talent. May God continue to bless her as she has blessed those who have felt the warmth and difference she has brought into so many lives now...and will continue to do so as her time has come.

Bruno’s comment about an ocean swell was actually very perceptive from someone who’s not a singer. The technique she is using, which is incredibly difficult (Barbara & Celine only successful living examples) involves letting a note build to a soar in a manner that feels as completely natural and organic as a wave swelling up and flowing to shore. That sounds easy but when your voice has the type of power necessary often control isn’t there and you either end up with showy over singing (Christina Aguilera most of the time) or you can hear the effort made to pull the voice back and save some gas. A miraculous few (Judy Garland was also one) seem to be born with a level of texture, control & instincts that go beyond what can be taught. Her amazing personality, self deprecating humour & ability to connect with an audience emotionally even in the midst of other worldly power & perfection is pure magic. I’m not old enough to have seen it first hand but I’ve seen film and heard the story. Sydnie now reminds me most of pre & opening night Barbara Streisand / Funny Girl. The personalities are so similar, the humour especially at their own expense, kept humble by all the no’s despite the “like no one else in the world” talent. When the moment comes they are so relieved, so happy they are able to keep that freshness people love. We all know what happened after Barbara Streisand opened in Funny Girl, the Tony, the Oscar, the legend who is still grateful every day. Sydnie is having her Funny Girl moment and if a West End director or producer casting a musical now doesn’t snap her up for the lead they deserve to fail. For those in America who don’t know - we Canadians know - the West End is the real Broadway, it’s been there much longer and Broadway only exists because of the West End. They brought us Julie Andrews and Laurence Olivier and so many more.

Sydnie Christmas IS the greatest singer ever on ANY "got talent" program. She is not just a great singer...she is a performer that tells a story with passion and clear articulation in her vocals. Sydnie is an emotional life changer for millions.

I really enjoyed watching Sydnie Christmas perform on BGT, she was very talented, funny, great personality, humble and down to Earth. But most of all, was her capacity to hold a strong, long note that is piercing and perfect pitch that takes the roof off of the BGT Auditorium and leaves the crowd in attendance a goosebump covered admirer for life. At least, I am now. 🥰

It's hard to come up with one word to describe Sydnie Christmas. Spectacular!!! Oh, and the judge who said her performance is like a swell in the ocean, I believe he's talking about how a wave builds up (the water swells to a crest, then smooths out on the shore). I really enjoyed your reaction.

great reaction, people who say it was a fix should just listen to the reaction of the audience she won because she is an amazing singer with a likeable and humble personality, I look forward to seeing more of her in the future.

Bro, I've been dying to see your reaction to this performance. You nailed it 100%. And the reference to a swell from the ocean refers to the building of a wave, leading to the crest. You have made me a huge fan of you and your reactions.

Superlative!! Brilliant right through from the Audition, my pick was her rendition of "my Way", somewhere over the rainbow was almost as brilliant. A Star is born, poise, power, timbre, enunciation and humility, a great person.

She isn't real--she's been dropped amongst us with a God-given Voice which is incredible--if you saw her in a restaurant you wouldn't she had a voice like that..Amazing!!

I hadn't watched BGT or talent shows like this in a good many years, but having young kids that enjoy seeing a lot of the silly acts etc I did tune in for a lot of this season. I caught Sidnie's first audition and felt like Simon to begin with. Initially I found her slightly annoying as if she was trying hard to be funny (before I realised it's just her natural bubbly personality possibly combined with some nerves) and was a bit 'eeurgh' with the song choice 'Tomorrow' as he was too...then something absolute magical happened. She transformed that song into something special!! By the end I was holding back tears, goosebumps all over and completely blown away. I do think her performance of 'My Way' was the best of her three songs, but they were all next level. She's absolutely amazing! I'd always thought Leona Lewis was the best find from X-Factor/BGT etc up till now and love her vocals, but Sydnie blows her out of the water IMO!!

Lucky you in the UK can watch the finals which are on now. A swell is a wave as it builds up. My word(s) is "ground shaking". Wish Lucy Thomas would use her in Rosie.
@stuartwhyte49597 ай бұрын
The only role available to her in Rosie is that of Daisy (I think). Desmonda Cathabel sings her song I Still Believe In Love, so a small role. There will be ensemble roles I’m sure with some vocals but I would imagine they will be minor in the grand scheme of things. The main songs will need filling in between presumably with dialogue which may be sung or spoken, so you never know.
@lawrenceb52367 ай бұрын
@@stuartwhyte4959 I had read somewhere that Desmonda wasn’t going to be available, so was thinking of that role, but I see she only sings 1 song on the album.
@stuartwhyte49597 ай бұрын
@@lawrenceb5236 Desmonda is currently starring in the UK and Ireland tour of Aladdin so may not be available and as you say only has one song. She was on the studio cast album but that does not necessarily mean she will appear in the stage version. The same applies to Will Callan. Singing one song in a large scale production is not really an attractive proposition for someone of any standing within the musical genre unless work is scarce, but when I see daily announcements of new or revival shows there doesn’t seem to be a shortage at present. So Sydnie may have no problem finding work but the difficulty I foresee is finding the right vehicle for that voice. I don’t know what happened in the final last night but can she sing a ballad akin to Lucy? I have just watched her BGT final performance and to be honest I wasn’t particularly impressed but I suspect I’m in the minority there. A strange choice imho but what do I know.
@lawrenceb52367 ай бұрын
@@stuartwhyte4959 You know a lot more than most others. It’s tough to sing a Loren Allred song, but I’m thinking she may have only had a few days to rehearse it.
