Watching your reaction takes me back to when I first saw this (my first intro to Syd). I too was shocked that someone could actually be this good. Have no fear, the naysayers have been well and truly left behind, outnumbered by the 1000's of people who love Syd and her talent. Likewise she has probably outgrown her wish to be on the West End stage, there isn't a stage big enough for her voice and personality. She has already sung at the Holywood Bowl and the Royal Albert Hall in front of The King and she has a UK tour early next year, I'm lucky enough to be going to see her in February and expect to be blown away live and probably reduced to a puddle of tears, can't wait!! Not idiots, but directors, musical directors, and producers in musical theater, who gave her a script, some music, and listened to see how closely she matched their preconceived notions of how that character would look and sound. I doubt that anyone ever heard Sydnie in full voice. Thus, the incredible set of circumstances put her on BGT where she had to be HER self, revealed to the world.

Welcome to Sydnie's fan club, for she is among the best five of the modern era, as was said since her BGT audition. She has been on stage across England, in London with another, English idol of hers & at the Blackpool seafront concert, besides her three MVs & her album. Then she was 'back' in The Magic of Christmas in London's Palladium with her "Merry Little Christmas" song from her album (where the BGT is staged), after being in the line up, another dream of hers, for David Foster's concert in the Hollywood Bowl for his 75th, after he had requested her to sing her My Way. She caught up with many of the artists there, including Loren Allred & Jane Seymour, who is naturally also from England. Her duet with Loren of Somewhere over the Rainbow is being released tomorrow, on the 6th, they announced on IG this Monday. Sydnie has ONLY JUST BEGUN!!

Sydnie performed at the Royal Variety Performance in London, last month. The event is for charity and is attended by the King and Queen. It is shown on British TV in mid December, so you will probably be able to see it on KZbin later this month.

Yes, she is the complete package! She was recently asked to present the new version of Starlight Express and she demonstrated that she has the skills (innate?) to present a television show! One person, who watched her live at Hollywood, wrote that the videos don't fully show Sydnie's talent. Lyrics = Shirley Bassey version, albeit scaled down for a performance on BGT and with Sydnie's personal touch. Somewhere, I wrote, that Sydnie (aka Miss WOW) sings and entertains. But even if she were a magician, juggler, impersonator, ventriloquist and so on, thanks to her perfectionism, perseverance and desire to do what she wants most, she would be a serious contender for victory! Between Sat 14th December 2024 - Sun 5th January 2025 she will be in the Sleeping Beauty Pantomina at the Orchard West Main Auditorium (Dartford) as Fairy Christmas, singing some of her hits. Petra, you nailed it. Sydnie is not just a super talented singer with unbelievable control and range. There are lots of really technically good singers. She is an incredible PERFORMER, deeply feeling the song and conveying the depths of her emotional connection with the music and message to each and every person in the audience. I absolutely love everything about her.

Sydnie is the total package- humility, talent, wonderful personality, talent, strong work ethic and she loves and respects her family. It just doesn’t get much better than that. I read a comment somewhere on You Tube that nails it for me.-Sydnie doesn’t just sing a song, she becomes the song. You probably already know that she has an album out now, and she has performed in many venues (including Hollywood) in the last 6 months. She manages to make every song she covers as her own, just like the three songs she sang on BGT. God bless her on her way to stardom. I’m watching from afar.

The only time you run into copyright issues with these videos is when they play a song after the performer finishes. They often play background music while the audience is applauding. As long as you talk through the music you can get away with playing it.

@@LoneWolf-qk7rv Thanks for letting me know about the comment by Sydney Christmas. Did Jona say that her version was after Sidney Christmas's version, or are people just assuming that? I see that Emeycee Lilan change the attribution from Mariah Carey to Sydney on her channel. It's really Jona's version--they are both sung fairly straight. It's funny Sydney Christmas is just now getting a lot of attention, but Jona's been in the industry for 20 years, and is a far more accomplished singer than Sydney. She can sing many styles and has a unique tone to her voice. I'm not knocking Sydney, she's an excellent singer, but her album release of O Holy Night is pitch corrected. I've noticed that most of the big voice female singers have impressive oral cavities, that is, they have wide interiors of their mouths, including Jona, Sydney, Crystal Gayle, Whitney Houston, Megan Hilty who I just noticed Christmas in Rockefeller Center, and many others. In theupload of Jona's O Holy Night on Emeycee Lilan's channel, she must've done something to process the audio so that the high frequencies and peaks are truncated and therefore it is more compressed. But because she kept left it about a half a decibel above full normalization, KZbin will drop the volume a bit to compensate. There are a couple of other uploads that keep it pretty much the same as it is on the original KZbin video, and you get a little more audio definition, you just need to turn the volume up a little more. @@LoneWolf-qk7rv Yes, they are both from the same original video but is not the upload by Emeycee Lilan that you mentioned where you and Sydney commented. The audio isn't overly raised in volume with the peaks truncated on the one I gave the link to.
