My first reaction was "I never really cared much for that song... until I heard this one." I've watched her video a couple dozen times and I don't get it, but I get emotional at that huge note and her reactions every time. I've watched a half dozen reviews of it and almost every person got emotional, along with hundreds or thousands of people watching it. Such an awesome job she did. I didn't think you were going to tear up, so it was a nice surprise to see!

The original song from Annie is from the voice of a orphan child. Sydnie's version is from a adult who has struggled thru life and is holding on to hope that Tomorrow will be the day day she feels the sun has finally fell on her. Its simply a exquisite performance!

So interesting that they played Over The Rainbow, sung by Loren Allred, who also got a Golden Buzzer from Amanda on BGT 2022. But this girl is a complete unknown, whereas Loren was known as the voice behind Never Enough to some people.

This version was actually recorded by Marisha Wallace as a fundraiser, 3 years ago, during the Pandemic, when the theatres were all closed. Sydnie improved by leaps and bounds.

She’s worked in the West End before in Starlight Express as a cast member, people are saying it’s a fix, but I think you need people auditioning who have experience to make show great and singers sing perfection.

Who CARES 😤 She wasn't a star or in any leading roles where all the $$$ is in her plays, not in the West End big shows. She was in the minor leagues going NOWHERE ready to give it up and get a career going in the real world making some good $$$. She played within the BGT rules and kicked ASS. Damn people be HAPPY for her. She paid her dues and at least is a kind hearted loving person, based on all the interviews.

Mate, if you know next to nothing about something, don't say anything. Alternatively you could use the modern miracle of the internet and look up some information. Then you could speak from a place of some knowledge. Amanda Holden is a well-known actress with dozens upon dozens of credits for her roles in television, movies, and theater. She has hosted numerous television programs, two of which are currently running, and she currently hosts a nationally broadcast radio program. She is also a singer, occasional model, and she participates in and promotes many charitable works. Her personal accomplishments and wealth are at least equal to those of her ex-husband.

I think it would have been a golden buzzer with a hard to hit note personally. Just for context I’m pretty sure the act before her was some douche with a goldfish head on that couldn’t get through a knock knock joke.

Again man, if you don't know about something, don't speak. The technical and the artistic aspects of Sydney's performance were what earned the buzzer. All four of the judges have tremendous experience in music so they were very aware of that. Apart from her virtuoso performance, she has a natural stage presence with energy and humor that make an audience warm and receptive. (To give you some context, I do have, let's just say 'a little', knowledge of music and performance.)

@@mikejaqua4604 why so angry. It was a great performance. Amanda has done little in her career. Some acting. She’s more famous for who she was married to. As for Simon I didn’t say he doesn’t have experience and I didn’t say anything about the other judges so read what someone writes before making a stupid angry comment. My point on Simon was that for the contestants it’s nerve wracking enough without Simon showing complete hatred for the song she prepared and about to sing. I’m hoping your intelligent enough to understand(although by your hasty comments I’m not sure you do as you sound very emotional), that this person may get a couple of shots like this in her life. Simon should just be professional enough to not mention he hates the song as it could put her off and that’s not fair. Please think before you type. Enjoy your day 👍

Sydnie is a national treasure in the UK. Yes she's had previous experience of course, like Starlight Express and her appearances on cruise ships. She however never the true break she she truly deserves. Until this show. I love her to bits and following her career. A beautiful magical talent that deserves everything she got
