I love everything about Sydnie Christmas, her dynamic personality, her sense of humor, her humility and of course her incredible, incredible voice. I have watched the BGT video about fifty times and I am still in awe, her rendition bringing tears to my eyes. Unquestionably the West End should take notice of Sydnie Christmas because people will fill the theater seats to see her.

From what I understand Sydnie had been taking courses in pursit of becoming a personal trainer. It was time to put her dreams behind her and get on with life. BGT was going to be the end or hopefully the extension of her dream. This is why you see such pure joy in her face when Amanda pushes on that "Golden Buzzer". Unadulterated, pure joy is hard to come by on these days. That's why I find myself watching this 3-5 times a day just to see the shock on her face, then that broad ear to ear smile when she realizes her dream isn't coming to an end. I cannot even fathom how that must have felt. Those who say this show was rigged would then have to admit that Sydnie would have to be a younger version of Meryl Streep. Not even Meryl could fake the feelings and emotions we've seen from Sydnie.

I'm a 57 year old man. Sydnie is our UK treasure. I love the classic singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington Washington, Billie Holliday, Nina Simone. Sydnie has all those vibes. And when she sang My Way in the semi finals, she had the power of Shirley Bassey without being a Diva. Her personality is amazing and infectious and we love her.

Thanks for the quick response. Like I said: How could you not love her? A little background info: This version was actually recorded by Marisha Wallace as a fundraiser, 3 years ago, during the Pandemic, when the theaters were all closed. Sydnie improved it by leaps and bounds. Regarding her prior experience. She was part of a cast for a couple of plays in the past. 1 in London and 1 in Germany. She also was a cruise ship performer for Royal Caribbean. So she has experience, but has never performed on The West End according to her interviews. She was an understudy before Covid closed everything. Not exactly a household name (yet). I heard shades of Judy Garland there.
