It was The West End but still…I have a theory about why she never got cast, I’d love to hear some feedback on it. I’m wondering if, during auditions, her singing was good but her acting was sub-par (I’m guessing because Sydnie’s true self would shine through too much and overtake the character she was supposed to portray). 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

@@unfanenamoradoct Of course I do 😊, that's why I agreed to "the best version of this song", thinking of his, the most famous one of all. I absolutely love Sinatra's version, always have, but, personally, I prefer Sydnie's, it has moved me and reverberated in my life as no other version has ever done before and that, to me, is what defines an outstanding, one of a kind, piece of art. But I feel it's a good thing that some people prefer her version to Sinatra's, masters are meant to be surpassed, otherwise the world would fall into estagnation, wouldn't it?

I'm 75 years old and have NEVER in my life have experienced anyone like her. Her voice so gentle at times and then so full has a fantastic quality to it, her love of the lyric is obvious and her sheer enjoyment while singing has given me in my old age new hope in the arts. May the stage embrace her so that many will get the oppurtunity to hear her live.

This song was played as i carried my brother out of the church after his funeral. I have never heard an artist do justice to this song other than the man himself, Frank Sinatra Sydnie is from the same part of England as me, just 10 minutes up the road. I have listened to it on repeat for the last half an hour. OH MY GOD!! What a rendition! Chills, absolute chills!
