"it just rolls off his tongue". You're killing me. That was brilliant.. Let's 'ave' it.

The protracted tumultuous applause from the audience and the barrage of superb compliments from the judges - all entirely deserved - leave Sydnie overwhelmed with emotion and almost incapable of speech - a totally new experience for the girl, I should think, and deeply touching to observe.

When she sings I just get chills and emotional - She is so good !!

Very impressive! I love this song, and this is one of the best renditions that I've ever heard.

Sydnies heart and soul radiate to millions. Plus, she is so down to earth. She is absolutely amazing.

Best version ive ever heard and ive heard it tons of times and heard some beautiful versions starting with Judy Garland. This was next level.

This lady has the entire package! Her personality is great and her singing is amazing. She could be a comedian as well. I watched this a few times in the last 3 months...this is what BGT and AGT are all about. Giving a chance for a unheard talent to become famous! You need to check out the winner of 2024 AGT. Similar story--Richard Goodall was a janitor at a high school and went on to win here in the States about a month ago! I hope you and yours are doing well---cheers gents!

You mentioned Loren Allred doing this song previously: Sydnie explained afterward on breakfast tv, that when BGT themselves suggested she sing this in the final - she had three days to prepare, it was only by Loren's personal contact with Sydnie by video message endorsing her to sing her song that Sydnie agreed to use her idol's song. Afterwards Loren said it was now "our song". Loren & Sydnie will do a duet some time soon, and they met up back stage after the Andrea Bocelli concert in Hyde Park in July this year, a month after BGT.

Didn't see this one (not really into BGT) but did see another of her early ones and she was good in this one and that one. Seems like a winner to me.

Thank you❤

The girl has an impressive set of pipes and a great rendition. 😮 Also on BGT many years was young little Connie Talbot who did this song and smashed it as well. I think she was 5 or 6 years old.

I think Simon never looked up, cause as he said"I got very emotional" and PROBABLY tears in his eyes, and didn't want to reveal it.

You need to react to her performance of My Way in the semifinals.

I think Simon was just completely gobsmacked. I've not seen him stumble through his comments like that before. I feel like she took his breath away and that he was worried he would cry if he looked at her. It is clear from the interviews with him after the show that Simon loves Sydnie and completely believed she deserved the win. I attribute his reaction to emotion rather than distance.
@Colin-to1nv3 ай бұрын
Yes, very likely: he even admitted her singing was making him "quite emotional".

Now go back and listen to her semi final performance of my way. Even better in my opinion.

Sure, the semi-final showed her powerful, full voice; this song showed her artistic magnificence, "the quality of her voice," as Simon said.

He reads notes, but he also looks up. I don't think he wanted the camera to see the tears in his eyes.
