Sygav Android 10.0 Headunit Installation Guide - Mitsubishi Evo X

*PLEASE READ*
There is one update I would like to mention during installation. When you are uploading the updated firmware and MCU, make sure you hit the "wipe data and format" button (which I did not do in the video). Once I did that, there are more awesome apps in the head unit that were not shown in the video. Once the updated firmware and MCU is completed, you can either remove the SD card or delete the files, otherwise it will keep asking you to update the head unit since it detects the files on start up.

Looks like I got the wrong harness too. Need the dual connector as well. I didn't even know this car had the better sound system as it has no factory sub in the back.

Let me see if I happen to still have the harness that is meant for non-rockford and I will get back to you if I do. I did see one on Sygav website but it says its for Lancers. Did yours come with a non-rockford harness and you have a rockford system? You can reach out to sygav and tell them you received the wrong harness, and they will send you the correct one. I did receive the correct harness a few days later after mentioning it to them.

Hi! Does this head unit work with the factory steering wheel controls?

I have an aftermarket quick release so I haven’t tested it with the oem steering wheel. Although I imagine it would since it’s a plug and play kit.

It now might be shipped with the latest software. I'm not entirely sure, but if it isn't, at least it's pretty straight forward to do. 👍

Any reason why the update completes and shows the software is installed! But the actual interface just stays the same nothing changes!

That is odd. Double check to make sure you uploaded the correct files, then try removing the sd card after installation.

@@reginald3497 yes very strange. When I first installed the head unit everything worked perfectly then I installed the updates from sygav (the correct ones) and Bluetooth would not work at all for any device iOS or Android tried lots of devices and went through all Bluetooth settings! So I decided to do a factory reset and reinstall the update now nothing changes when I do the updates and I also have no Bluetooth as well lol. So first time round the update worked (apart from Bluetooth) so after I did a network reset still nothing then did a factory reset now the update does nothing and stuck with no Bluetooth very weird must be a software thing but idk it’s mind numbing. When I go into Bluetooth it say turn on Bluetooth to connect to a device even though Bluetooth is turned on haha I have no idea.
