Hi mate, I have a question regarding red and white RCA cables. At 11:54 in the video they are not connected but later in the video at 12:27 looks like they are connected. Initially when you pulled out your old unit you have 3 white connectors. How and where did you connected that red and white rca connectors of the Canbus cable. Thanks

Hey loved the vid, might have a stupid question but I'm totally new to this so I'll go ahead and ask. My car doesn't have an android/screen unit at all, it has an cd drive and small little radio screen. The whole process should be the same right? Shouldn't matter what I'm taking out as long as the connectors are all there?

Thank you! Yes it is the same process to install. Just make sure you get a headunit that is specific for your car. If you have a Mitsubishi lancer, get an aftermarket headunit that fits a lancer and not a one for a Toyota Corolla even though all aftermarket touchscreens look the same

Hey, I don't but you will have to go to the settings to re-teach the steering wheel controls. Just go to the settings on the head unit, then find the steering wheel control option and pair each button to the action you want it to do

I didn't have to wire anything extra for steering wheel controls to work on my other car. I took off the OEM steering wheel and switched it out to an aftermarket steering wheel so I had no need to connect steering wheel controls on this car

It should come with it. Sorry to hear about that. For the steering wheel controls, you should be able to go to settings on the headunit and sync it to your steering wheel to "relearn" settings

All the features should work the same. I know for sure keyless operating system works since mine does. As for the other systems, I would think so too

It sounds like you may have not connected the back up camera wire. As for the steering wheel controls, you have to go to settings on the radio to re-set it up

It is holding up great! This is actually the same xtrons one I had in my Ralliart that I installed on my lancer now. Had it for over a year and still works great

No issues on mine though I have heard that on some cars that happens. It could be your OEM Bluetooth module that you have in the car on the passenger side below the glove box

what do you mean by making it wireless? do you need that extra gadget to be able to connect to the bluetooth? or what did you mean

By wireless, I meant you can connect to Apple car play/ android auto without a wire. All you have to do is switch Bluetooth on your phone on, connect to the headunit and car play will work without connecting a USB c cable to your phone.

I added this radio to my Lancer and got also the double connector wire-set. but no sounds from the speakers

Everything should work if you have it all connected correctly. You might want to check with your seller to make sure you got the correct radio for your car since some radios are for Rockford fosgate and some are not

@@TheJMedia I got a Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 Intense of 2009. The stock radio is a Rockford Fosgate with subwoofer in the trunk. The funny thing is, my seller send me a tutorial link to your video. You also use the same new radio as I got now. but there is still no sound. I check the fuse, was okay. Built in the old radio, connect everything, work. So install the new radio, still no sound. Also the AMP wire is not connected in the connector.

Is your radio Xtrons brand? I'm not sure about your car since we don't have the 1.8 lancers here and only the Evo x here comes with Rockford fosgate. Not sure if those are a little different. Maybe try connecting the amp wire to see if any sound?

Sorry to hear about that. Are you connected to Apple car play/Android Auto? If you are, you shouldn't have to download Google maps since it will work if you have the app on your phone

Steering wheel controls all work. Just need to go to settings on the headunit and "relearn it" under steering wheel settings. As for Rockford fosgate, make sure to check with the buyer it is compatible since some are and some are not. They all look the same but make sure to check with seller

That's a different headunit from what I have. I will be making a separate video on connecting the oem back up camera to the aftermarket headunit that will be up on the channel this week

@@TheJMedia thanks man! The connections are all identical to yours just slightly different layout its just the matter of, I had to get a different power connector that already has the Grey Pin (reverse cam) integrated so its just a plug n play

Make sure all connections are tight and not loose. If it is all connected, audio should work with no issues with radio/Bluetooth. If it is still an issue, might be a problem with the headunit

@pollux2825 No problem. I believe the main harness that is plugged into the headunit by the fuse is what provides power and audio. Also have to plug in the red and white rca cable from the radio to the OEM harness
