I remember casting Blizzaga while fighting on the lake. The lake got frozen along with the legs of all party members who then spend some time freeing their legs out of the ice, it was hilarious.

Fun fact: If you use a blizzard spell while close to a lake or river it freezes the entire body of water

If you use thunder on bodies of water or metallic surfaces the area of effect is larger too as the lightning spreads across the conductive surfaces. Fire also spreads when used in grass and does more damage if used on oil like when you break a Magitek Armour's leg

I remember the last time i played this i made a Quintcast Electron and used it in a cave. It basically used Thundera twice then thundaga twice, then Electron as the final hit and i killed everything attacking the party, paralyzed the party and nearly killed the party. Love how ridiculous you can get with the spell creation in this game.

@@justrese That's because magic was unfortunately not incorporated very well into the pacing of the game, it was just a standalone system that didn't lend itself to the comboing or cancelling of the other combat systems, and the self/friendly fire AoE didn't help either. It looks fine in this video because it's an isolated scenario against dummies, but in the actual game magic just did not fit in well.

The magic in this game is amazing, to bad the system to implement it was weird, technically it´s not "magic" per se, since you have to obtain material and combine it into flaks, so characters don´t cast a spell, they throw the flaks to the enemies.

Basically if the original FFXV game had more time in develoment and could combine all of the DLC into the main story, and all the added gameplay for ignis, prompto gladio and also incorporated Comrades' enhancement systems, I think mostly everyone would have loved the game. It deserves its polarizing reputation but personally i spent a ton of time into it and loved the game. Its not one of my favorite all time Games or even FF games, but it has a special place in my heart. Also i feel most people who play it, kinda miss a lot of things especially when it comes to combat, There is more depth to it than people intially realize.

wait....i definitely don't remember the spells looking like this. I'd always toss an elemental flask at the enemy and it would do like a slowed screen effect, and the stronger the spell, the more it would affect the whole field. Like, whenever I tossed a flask with firaga, it'd engulf the whole battle area and everyone would be caught on fire.

Ff spells in english: Blizzard Blizara Blizaga In spanish: Hielo Hielo+ Hielo++ The spanish translators: don't complicate it too much, just put the name of the spells and then add a "+" and that's all xd

Just finished this game few weeks ago and i say this game has really aged well in terms of graphics, gameplay and characters except story unfortunately. FF music will always be goated no matter what FF game. Not really a big fan of the combat especially Noctis' combat its either a hit or miss for me but the execution of magic spells is the best I've seen in the FF franchise. Overall still a solid 8/10 game from Square Enix despite its issues and controversies pre and post launch.

5:15 this is where the only magics that I ever use regularly. Never even bother try any spell combinations, just used plain Firaga / Thundaga / Blizzaga few times. I sometimes use Gravityblaster and pretend it was a Demi spell LOL. Comrade even has better magic spells mechanic.
