Im looking for a reverse light conversion. I see many cars especially mustang making the reverse lamp in the middle into a park/reverse light giving it the red look

@@blessethishe haven’t heard of that. So you want your reverse light red? Do you want the light output to just be red or the lens to be red? Red light = same bulb type but in red. Red lens= red tint.

@@JetFuelOnly i want it converted into a 4th brake light. Mustang is able to convert the light with the same looking reverse light. It was some sort of plug and play bulb. Look up mustang 4th brake light conversion.

@@blessethishe haven’t seen anything like that with the Cadillac. You will have to get creative. But the Cadillac will know if the reverse light isn’t there I’m sure. And it will let you know.

I bought the double sided tape one from eBAy about 4 months ago for only $170! My CTS color is Diamond White Tricot so I got the wing in Black. It looks amazing. I used paint thinner and added more (Gorilla brand 30 lbs) double sided tape. It’s on there for good now! I love the Gloss Black look with the contrasting White.

Great video, really informative. I got an EOS spoiler for my CTS-V but as a factory 2nd as I wasn't too sure about fitment. I knew the finish would be less than perfect (and it was) but the fit was workable. Not perfect, but I made it work. You are right, from a few feet away it looks good. I got the Weapon-X hood vent and mirror covers, and the Carbon fiber is top notch. Fitment was good too. I am in the San Jose area, so look out for a Silver CTS-V3 !!!

Great advice at the end about adding the neoprene washers or something around the holes. I have the same Factory one you do and it was already on the car when I bought it and water leaked in and corroded my wires that led to my trunk latch and back up camera. Luckily I was still under CPO warranty so it was covered but could have been an expensive fix for something so inexpensive to start with.

Hi, Daniel.Just installed. DAWN spoiler. Bought on Amazon. Color match was great. Red Obsession Tint-coat. The added weight did not allow trunk lid to open as you warned. I changed both springs to the furthest hole on bracket. Still no trunk lid self opening. It’s just on the cusp of opening but no go. Any suggestions. Stronger spring available? Drill another mount hole further to the rear? 2014 CTS4 3.5. Carvana purchased in December with only 15,101 miles showroom condition. Any suggestions.

Install a new trunk strut. Search Rockauto. If you have a 3rd gen Cadillac, search under 2015 to make sure you don't accidentally get 2nd gen Cadillac. For 3rd gen, I see TUFF SUPPORT 613478. Or you can go to the dealer for part number: 23119017

Anyone else out there have this problem with trunk not opening after installing a rear spoiler. Only pops open a couple of inches. Trunk springs will not lift trunk all the open.

Did you pull the carpet away enough to check for the strut? It attaches way back near the passenger rear seat.

Dawn is on Amazon for only $160 shipped, I have one. It's nice looking but not too aggressive. I prefer that look. Mine lasted a long time and was perfect until some dude helping me get my car out of a flood used it to push the car and pulled up the tape. I am going to have it 'retaped' as I like it.

They are now listed at $199. That includes the choice if the color. I gave them my paint code for Red Obsession Tint Coat and they painted it a perfect match. These are painted when ordered. Not months ago and waiting for a buyer. They also suggested using 70% alcohol instead of paint thinner so you don’t have a paint accident.

The V spoilers will require you to get a different brake light or drill yours out. If you can find the EOS stick on carbon spoiler you don’t need to do that

Daniel, I have a 2018 V and I’m trying to put a PedalMonster on it, however, I can’t remove the lower drivers side dash panel to plug it in. There’s two screw and I’ve tried everything but a blow torch. How the hell does one remove that panel? Thanks for any help.

Ok, so there are two 7 mm hex screws. One under your right knee and another by the hood latch. Once those are off it's only being held on by one metal spring clip. The clip is located under your left knee inline with the light thats under there. I was able to flex the plastic, get my finger or pry tool in one of the holes where air comes out and pop the clip. You wont break it. It should be totally free from there.

No disrespect to the XTS, but you complain that there wasn’t a spoiler or carbon fiber hood for it. That’s because you are in the minority of XTS drivers. We can’t change what the aftermarket produces for us without demand. But if those are the things you like to do the cars, consider a car with more modification demand. That’s all I’m saying. Believe me, us CTS owners wish there was more too but there’s enough.

@@JetFuelOnly i think its less of a demand thing and more of a "its marketted as luxury, no one will buy these" kinda thing. same couldve been said to my 21 rav4 but i found splitters for it and cold air intake at least, which doesnt make sense youd find it for a rav4 but not a xts

Orings to raise makes it look awful. Why not put body panel protective film in whole area before laying the wing in place? The film would protect paint damage and shafing of the panels.

That’s an option as well. My o rings were colored but when black or a slightly thinner one, including perhaps just a second neoprene you don’t notice. I don’t even notice mine anymore.

Bought the aftermarket plastic one with double sided tap. I forgot what they were called but they were heavy so the trunk didn’t open easily and did not look that great on the car even though it was high quality and I ended up paying $600 for them.

But i ended up buying the accessory spoiler from 404parts. It looked much better on the car. Faced some problems because of the different bolt sizes but got it installed. I need to look more into the rubber seals because I didn’t Focus on it. Also in the instructions given with the spoiler. There was something mentioned about adjusting the trunk springs so that it can carry the extra weight. Can you please show us how it is done on your next vid.

you can tighten the spring so it lifts the trunk better

@@josiface8859 the only thing that I thought was possible is to move the edge of the spring from the a U shaped hole to a small hole next to it but the springs were so stiff it wasn’t possible.

yep thats that I did. you have to pull on the spring and man handle it out of it and insert into the last hole. haha thts what I did atleast
