These are great. I've had 4 of them before but I've never had the fish or star. They work great and the details in the shapes work really well if you can leave them overnight in the fridge to cool.

+maeg d Yes these are a fun lunch accessory to have especially if your kids love eggs - you could also just pack the egg with the mould into the lunch too - it's a nice case for it 😉. The heart is perfect for Valentine's Day themed lunches 👍❤️

Love these. I was always afraid to try and use these, thought I would end up with cracks.

+Suzanne Penney I've never found that they cracked. I think the biggest problem people have is that they don't use the right size eggs. Depending on where you live your eggs may be labeled differently so it just takes finding the right size. Generally if you place the uncooked egg into the mould and it's slightly bigger but can still sit into the space - when boiled it will be a good fit for making the shapes 😉

+Marisa C Yeah they make cute little rice shapes too! You could also use them to mould some cute shapes with any homemade bake free treats too or if you're a bit more adventurous - you could even make some stuffed sandwiches 😉

How do you use these molds for rice? I tried it, and I couldn’t get the rice out without losing the shape!

Christine Dorn I make rice in them in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaq0oWyjqbRoeZo - the key is your rice needs to be a bit sticky and you need to pack in the rice tightly. You could also put a piece of cling wrap over the mould before adding your rice - that way you can easily pull it out. But if your rice isn’t packed tightly it will still fall apart. Hope that helps!

+Cheryl Boughton Thank you Cheryl! 💕 I know - it's a pretty easy idea but I think where people have trouble is with the egg size - I know in different countries eggs are labelled differently - so it may take just using different eggs to see which works the best. I find for us - the large ones work for all the moulds. 👍

I just make the rice as it calls for and sometimes stuff the center with finely chopped veggies and crab meat, roll them into balls and shape them the best I can with the inside or a cookie cutter but these would be amazing!

+AJ F haha let me know if it works! ☺👍 one of my kids doesn't like the yolks either - I find that when I remove it and mix it up with some dressing or mayonnaise etc.. it makes a difference. With these shapes because it's double sided, you can still cut them in half and take the yokes out to season it 😉
