Lyrics: [Verse 1] Speedy, speedy, slow down time Gas station is running dry Mhm, eh eh, mhm Sweaty, sweaty, wonder why Now it's always summer time Mhm, eh eh, mhm [Pre-Chorus] It's all gone but here we're gonna stay Anyway the concrete's all empty So we're making a parade It goes left, nothing there It goes right, watch your step It goes left, don't look down It goes right, look straight ahead Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead Maybe there's some food up there [Chorus] P-A-R-A-D with me Yeah there's nothing left to ruin, yeah we finally got free How's that for manifesting our destiny P-A-R-A-D with me [Verse 2] Salty, salty, water dried Oceans all gone with the tide Mhm, eh eh, mhm Steamy, steamy, bright sunshine Flowers, grass and trees all died Mhm, eh eh, mhm [Pre-Chorus] It's all gone but here we're gonna stay Anyway the concrete's all empty So we're making a parade It goes left, nothing there It goes right, watch your step It goes left, don't look down It goes right, look straight ahead Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead Maybe there's some food up there [Chorus] P-A-R-A-D with me Yeah there's nothing left to ruin, we finally got free How's that for manifesting our destiny P-A-R-A-D with me P-A-R-A-D with me Yeah there's nothing left to ruin, we finally got free How's that for manifesting our destiny P-A-R-A-D with me

you don't sound like you are very astute at interpreting the art behind music. Its obviously a tongue in cheek statement about humanity killing the earth with global warming. Gas stations running dry, sweaty always summer time, concrete all empty (no more cars because we used up all the fossil fuels), parade with me(back to walking). salty salty water, oceans dried, fish gone like the tide. Flowers and grass, gone. Global warming run amuck. But we are still here, nothing left to ruin, we achieved our destiny (humanity as a virus) and destroyed our superorganism (earth). Destiny. pretty straight forward shit. She spells it out for you. Plenty of sense.

Oh My-this is amazing! Amelia's dorky, choreographed, SPECTACULAR moves; the blank stares and clapping- with Nick finishing off the scene putting his head in his hand like, "yup, we are really doing this"; fell in love with this video at first watch, I just can't!

Ok idk if it’s just me but even tho it’s so catchy (and don’t get me wrong, I totally love it, it’s incredible) it’s also sad. The lyrics make me think she’s talking about how our planet is getting hotter and hotter and dying, and were running out of resources, talking about how the concrete is empty and their might be food “up there”. That’s fucking sad. “Yeah there’s nothing left to ruin, we finally got free. How’s that for manifesting our destiny.” Oof. So powerful.
