And how is Anduin supposed to be responsible when he is mind controlled? See what I mean? Mind control or not Frostmourne drove Arthas mad and caused him to feel zero remorse. That means his neural kinetics and brain wiring patterns changed. So if shes getting a redemption arc shes damn well deserves it for putting up with being soul less for years. I agree to a lot of your points and even sympathize with the metaphor for her suffering. I, at one point loved Sylvanas as a character, a leader, and someone who struggled against her own tragedy. Let me be clear, I don't blame Sylvanas, I blame the absolute dumb fucks who wrote her into what she's become now, a joke. Zovals armor looks awesome I didn’t think they could top the lich kings look but this did it for me. His helmet looks better than the helm of domination in my opinion. @Shagaru Bleed I disagree. The worst she did was burn down Teldrassil, and only Alliance would be super upset by that. She did kill Saurfang, but he also challenged her to that duel to the death. Yeah, she went out of her way and upset the Horde, but everyone is so hyperfocused on Teldrassil that they conveniently forget all the redemption that everyone else is getting in the afterlife. Does Teldrassil make Sylvannas a special case here? The Maw is only for those beyond redemption. Sylvannas has been getting absolutely shafted since Classic, with her constantly being treated like an untrustworthy outcast. Now that she chose to be that outcast for a bit and shafted Azeroth, that suddenly changes things? Because other people got shafted? There is legit no character more deserving of a redemption than the THE Hero of Silvermoon.

Also the idea that she was using him never made sense. We’re talking about the guy who stole the Primus’s mournblade and helm and cursed them. He basically created the Lich King’s weapon and armor all that was left was a soul provided by Kiljaeden. So how did Sylvanas think she could use him. She was being manipulated THE WHOLE TIME!

She was a slave to the Lich King by being stuck as a soul less banshee. Also. She was hoping he would make a good choice like create a world similar to a utopia with this power and not go on a hungry power trip and abuse it. She thought he would use it for a good cause and that bad guys looking bad don't always mean they have bad intentipns. Kind of like how Thanos wiped out half resources so life can continue. But her good will was wrong. The jailer was too angry at his imprisonment he despised the maket and wanted revenge so he went on a power trip. Its quite simple. Everyone judges her but ironically people in our world who are soul less with anhedonia and amyloid plaques would rather die than endure. The irony is her curse is worse because she can't die. So anyone in our world would follow any being even if he told the person he would kill everyone in the universe just so that their pain and misery and suffering can end. So sylvanas is quite strong. She was desperate for her soul. The worst thing is her not getting it back. I'm glad the Jailer was true to his word. That's why I love the Jailer. The jailer isn't like the disgusting vile menace in our world that would break their word and truly use you. If you or I were stuck in her position we would of done what she did and more to get out of that helping feeling of being soul less. When you're a kid you think you will feel satisfaction or feel the way you currently feel forever. Thats not how it works. Slowly your cells die. So her major major major major MDD is 1000x worse and we would of done worse than her to be rid of anhedonia or amyloid dementia.

To the point where they were fine helping Garrosh commit genocide until he started cutting pay to non-orcs. Pandaren: Violent sect who’s entire philosophy is “Act first, think about your actions never” Nightborne: Traitors who are so sensitive they literally joined the Horde and helped burn down Teldrassil because Tyrande correctly pointed out that the Highborne caused 90% of the bad crap that’s happened to Azeroth. Highmountain: Also cool but only joined the Horde because the other Tauren were there. Also have no issue committing genocide against previous allies, though. Mag’har: Mentioned above with orcs. Zandalari: Grossly incompetent. Call themselves the greatest empire of all time, but cannot even manage a small island nation. Rely on their loa for even simple tasks, and couldn’t notice Zul’s treason even when he literally took half the Zandalari fleet to resurrect Lei Shen and slaughter thousands. Vulpera: Pretty much a mild mix of tauren and goblin. Joining due to friendship and potential profit, not from genuine loyalty. I’m all for the Thrall era from WC3 through Wrath with the Chaotic Neutral Horde. But aside from that, the majority of the Horde has been undeniably evil. Bad guys in the Alliance stand out because they’re rare, but everyone in the Horde from Legion onward has been, at best, a bystander within an evil, genocidal regime who felt nothing was wrong with the slaughter of innocent people. Even the resident goody-goody’s like Baine.

And how is Anduin supposed to be responsible when he is mind controlled? See what I mean? Mind control or not Frostmourne drove Arthas mad and caused him to feel zero remorse. That means his neural kinetics and brain wiring patterns changed. So if shes getting a redemption arc shes damn well deserves it for putting up with being soul less for years. She did better than Uther did. His soul was taken and he couldnt bear it more than her. Shes tough as nails. Shes stronger than Garrosh despite all his screaming. Sure Teldrassil didn't deserve to burn. But Sylvanas didn't deserve to rot forever. And if you think deeply about it. Their deaths compared to her curse is like heaven compared to hell. They get the mercy of having a death while she is stuck in real hell. Their deaths in comparison to her is heaven. So I don't blame her. I blame the makers of Frostmourne. If you all can't handle COVID? How are you going to handle what she's going through? Before you judge her think of that. Sylvanas isn't a hero. But she isn't a monster either. We're all to blame. You can say I don't understand the lore and we can talk about that but to say I'm knowingly spreading lies is insane. You're interpretation is what what pisses people off. Because you're talking about some easy reset: she get her soul back and all she did past her death doesn't matter because she didn't know what she's doing. That's simply not how it goes. First - she didn't get her entire soul, only piece of it. And yeah, this is retcon - Frostmourne was supposed to trap the entire soul, but it's clearly not the case anymore. Fro example after his death Uther existed as a soul both in Bastion and on Azeroth. This is what Shattered Legacies cinematic is about: piece of her past soul struggles to merge with the rest of her - exactly the same like Uther in Kyrian chain quests. When it finally happens she doesn't say "whoopty doo I'm good now" but realizes that she's the one that did all these evil things ("And she... I... must face the consequences"). She also didn't say to Arbiter "dude, I had no soul, I didn't know what I was doing" but "My actions were mine alone". She didn't easily became good, only she realized how evil she was and that can put her on the path to become good. BTW she wasn't crystal good before her death either. Books and short stories show she had a jerk qualities back then too.
