The absolute #1 you should have mentioned is that these LEDs does NOT have an internal resistor. Some cars like the ford focus will not be able to use these lights bc LEDs doesnt draw the same amps as halogen and therefor the ecm thinks the bulbs are burned out, and wont work. Its called a "dipped bulb" fault. Also, do not buy load resistors unless u know what you're doing bc they get HOT and you will catch your car in fire if its touching plastic

Oh man I just read your post. I have an 05 ford focus and have ordered these bulbs for my fog lights and the 9007 series sylvania led bulbs for my headlights. Do you know if I’ll have trouble with those bulbs?
@toyotabrony7 ай бұрын
Wrong. The old sylvania - SL.BX2 have an external driver for heat management and longevity. Now this new version or 2nd gen sylvania - SL.BX2 has what’s it called an internal driver. And I think ur referring as canbus system. This doesn’t have it. Without a driver none of this works. This is not a big issue. As these work very well on any vehicles. Like Toyota and Honda. If it’s like German cars yeah u definitely need resistors. On American cars it’s a 5050.

I just bought a pair of the same exact bulbs. They were so easy to install into my projector headlamp housing and they look super white!
@toyotabrony5 ай бұрын
And how’s the brightness? A little brighter than stock in projector? Because I know they are not truly blinding bright. Since it only draws 12W.
@jameycollins7255 ай бұрын
@@toyotabrony they are perfect! I have small projectors on my 2015 Scion xb so the light does not give out glare like halogen housing does-lol.

@@jameycollins725 oooo I also have a 2015 Scion xB as well. But it’s a lifted xB that’s burgundy with gold off-road wheels. Is ur headlight housing crystal clear? How would u rate from 0-100 for brightness, beam pattern, and color temperature? Meaning does it have a slight hair of a blue hue or a reliable true pure white with no blue hue? And did u claim ur 5 year warranty on sylvania automotive lighting website? To me, I use Lasfit - LD plus switchback, 30W per bulb, 3000 lumens per bulb. I’ve seen someone from bulbfacts did the observation, and it’s literally 3x’s brighter than stock. And Sylvania led with 12W fanless, compare to the SL.BX2 with 12W, their 2000 lumens per bulb, and it’s a little 3% brighter than stock. So in lux; that’s a very little increase. In lumens is very good. So just remember that sometimes the more lumens it gains, the less lux it has, the more lux it gains, the less lumens it has. Sometimes it increase both better. Lux is the actual, usable, measurable brightness, at a certain distance, at a certain point in space. Lumens is just the measurement of brightness, the measurement of light created of the light source.

@@jameycollins725 glad u guys enjoy the sylvania led on xB. I have Lasfit - LD plus switchback with 30W each. It’s super bright. 6000k/3000k. Major upgrade. It’s on my 2015 lifted Scion xB.

I knew they made a little different. Before they had a fan guard and it’s easier to push the led bulb in the housing. And it came with an external driver, and an L wrench for adjustable collar. Now the new version is a simple version. Now it has an internal driver, the heatsink has grooves now for better air ventilation, it has a friction fit. Which mean a 360 degree adjustable collar.

I recently ordered this, just installed it and according to your description, it looks like I got the old version of this. After I installed it to my 2013 Accord, the driver is just kind of hanging at the back, I ended up using the tie that came with it to keep it away from touching other parts of the car. I also saw another video in this site that LED headlight with internally constructed drivers tends to breakdown faster.
@toyotabrony7 ай бұрын
@@bbfreak8367that’s very rare because one of my xB owners have this for roughly over 5 years and they are still running. I’ve yet heard any issues coming from sylvania. Which is rare. If u claim the 5 year warranty, have them contact u to see how it goes to replace

@YoloReviews Could u review more of sylvania led bulbs. For brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, and marker lights. And what are ur thoughts about from sylvania standard led with a 1 year warranty, vs. sylvania ZEVO premium led with a lifetime warranty?

Not sure, it works for H11 headlights. It will usually say in your manual. It has worked on other Toyota models I know that.

I will say that these $100 led bulbs (not sure if it still $100 since they use to have an external driver and now it’s an internal driver) Has the same 13W for H11. It’s same lumen rates as a 55W halogen bulbs. It’s basically a buy and try led bulbs. A lot times u get 5050 of people find it dimmer than stock. And other find it brighter than stock. It depends on their application and their preference, and even their headlights maybe god a little oxidation for that. Maybe couple hairs more brightness for projector which is nice. In reflector design, it will definitely help more with those led bulbs.

I bought these yesterday installing in a 15 civic.the drivers side locked in right .my only complaint with these lights is the rubber lock grommet .sylvania has 2 little tabs on the aluminum shaft that is supposed to keep the grommet from moving on the light itself..The grommet is loose on the light shast so I didn't get a tight seal .when you twist the light to lock it in the grommet just slips and slides.the light can literally just slide out of the supplied grommet. Poor design. Needs to be stronger molded onto the light inself.100 dollars you get what you pay for....
