This is a nice effect! I would shorten some parts and reduce the volume while using the hair dryer. The gold embossing is fine for a sympathy card as it is used very judiciously.

So, I see in the other comments the answers to any questions I might have about what the brush is, and how to get it. I'm curious about how, and why it works. I've certainly had the same problems you described in the video with patchy embossing. How exactly does this fix that problem? I can see that it works, but it seems like putting dust on your paper would keep the ink from sticking to it rather than the other way around...
@bunnylands916 Жыл бұрын
When you heat emboss a stamped image, you want the embossing powder to stick only where you've stamped with Versamark (or other sticky ink). Using an embossing buddy before stamping reduces the chances that the embossing powder will stick to other areas as well, such as spots where you held the cardstock. The powder doesn't prevent you from being able to stamp properly. If you get patchy results, where some parts of your stamped image don't have embossing powder, it's for the same reasons as when you get patchy results stamping with regular ink -- there might have been parts of the stamp that didn't get inked up, or the stamp might have been inked properly but not pressed down evenly.

What a great video of a fabulous card, Deana! What does the micro glaze do, specifically? I've never made a background like this by brushing down layers of color and THEN tapping it into the water/ink on your mat! Can't wait to try that! Thank you for sharing this! :)
@designcreativebling3 жыл бұрын
The micro glaze seals the color which allows you to lay another color on top. It also brightens the oxide inks the oxide inks up.. Some people use it after they have finished their card to seal it to keep ink from lifting.
