I think this was taken off the first classical music LP I ever owned. My mother picked it up at the grocery store for 99c on orders over 50$. What a bargain :)

Me Too!!! I didn't understand it at the time, but I grew to love great music and now consider this my favorite recording of the symphony.

I wonder if there is a mistake in the description of this performance? I may be mistaken but at the time Sir Charles was the principle conductor of the Royal LIVERPOOL Philharmonic. I would bet money that this is the Liverpool Philharmonic and not the Royal Philharmonic. Would anyone care to comment ??
