If your turning left and hear the clicking noise its not the left side thats faulty. Its the right side. Just want to clarify. when turning to the left and hear clicking noise, its the right side, when turning right and hear the clicking noise, its the left side thats faulty.

Hi there, will it not be weird if you hear clicking sound from both turns, I mean either right or left turn, same clicking sound you can hear? Does that mean both cv axles are toast? I checked the boots and both look fairly clean and dry Thanks

It doesn’t have to be leaking to be damaged. That just means that spot seems fine. But it could be damaged inside the transfer case.

What if you turn the steering wheel to the right and back up into a space or drive way and hear and feel the clicking noise?
@KillaHD2105 ай бұрын
I just want to mention that this clicking sound can also be coming from a worn strut. If the hydraulic from the strut loses its pressure for whatever reason. The coil spring from that side can start to slide and make a slight clicking noise only when your turning the wheel. You would have a slight pull to whichever side is damaged while driving and bad vibration at higher speeds and over bumps on the road. If the cv axle is worn or not pushed in completely allowing the c clip to catch it securely, or the c clip is worn, damaged or not present , you may hear a clicking noise from the bearings in the cup inner cv joint. I would also check tire pressure on both sides in front tires , compare and air evenly just to make sure the weight shift of vehicle is balanced. When moving vehicle in reverse and this clicking occurs doesn't rule out the worn hydraulic pressure but indicates this is more likely an inner cv joint issue not properly installed or with the c clip that secured it being the issue. If the clicking is from both sides , as you hear it turning left or right , yes it can be both sides and is not safe to drive . Whoever installed the cv joint on your vehicle did a poor job or incorrect or can just mean the cv joints need c clips or it's just that time to have it replaced. Many important factors will need to be considered because everything is caused by something else on a vehicle and it can get out of hand. Make sure you check all things needed before replacing parts and wasting time and money.

That clunking noise is the exact noise I’ve been having, but can’t find it anywhere else on KZbin but this video. The noise is coming from the right side. Got parts for both sides. I replaced the right side with new wheel bearing/hub assembly, cv axle, sway bar end links and tie rods. I’m still having the noise come from the right side! This is only at a dead stop. Won’t make the noise in reverse, and stops after 15/20 mph. I do know there’s a torn boot on the driver side.

I've just noticed my cv clicking/clunking when turning left on my 09 Ford Territory like 4 days ago. After talking with my partner about what cv's are actually for and the consequences involved with a guaranteed negative outcome for ignoring or putting off the problem, I've decided to start using my other car until I can save enough money to get the issue resolved. I'd rather use my pos jeep than potentially put myself and other road users at risk by driving an unsafe vehicle.

Here's a fun 1. I've got a clunk/thump when cornering, started only left turns now it don't matter. I've got new struts and new sway bar. Rods are a year old and cv axles are almost new I've visually inspected and there's no excessive wear that I can see. Steering wheel has slight feedback and I feel the thunk under my feet. Personally I suspect LCA bushings. But oem are 600 a side which makes it an expensive guess.
@KillaHD2105 ай бұрын
@@mrhyde0705 if your vehicles a front-wheel drive vehicle and this occurs while you're turning left or right may indicate a sign of low gear oil from transfer case. This gear oil is needed for when the vehicle is turning left or right on front-wheel drive cars as the inner tire for whichever way you're turning needs to turn more than the outer tire, and if the gear oil is low will cause the clicking sound from the transfer case.

Which one is the problem? Is it spark plugs or axes?? Any help Update: turnout one of the injection modüle. Replaced and var running smootly

You’d hear engine knocking or sluggish acceleration if it was the spark plugs. You might also get a check engine light code warning you of misfiring. More than likely it’s the cv axles or wheel bearings and potentially even your engine or transmission mounts.

Hey I'm Dutch and I'm trying to find a term in English which I thought was the axle. My car makes this scraping sound on the left back wheel. First I thought it was the brakes, however I changed these and it doesn't solve the problem. Now if I grab the left back wheel with my hands and wiggle it around it moves a tiny bit in every direction whereas the back right wheel doesn't and i know it's not supposed to do that. I think it is the axle or whatever it's called because it had an accident on the left wheel side. I mean the rod thing that connects the 2 wheels together and supports the weight of the car on to the wheels. Anyone who can help me either help find the right term to search for or confirm it's probably the axle or whatever it's called? Thanks😅
