Hi doctor. Iam 65 yrs old and for the past 10 yrs or so suffering from cold regularly. I consulted an ENT doctor and he said that I have nose deviation and gave me nasal drops. But recently I am experiencing terrible headache, only on the right side, just below the eyebrows, with severe cold and my face will get bloated. It will last for 3 to 4 days. I cannot travel without a scarf or sit under a fan or be in a room with AC. Life has become very miserable, because going to temple or for other programmes is not possible. Can you please guide as to the further course of action. Thanking you in anticipation.

Sir i have DNS which lead to ear full feelness and hearing loss . It haas happen 1st 2022 year then i used steroid nasal spray for 2 months and i hear again . But in 2023 it happens again , September October month . I uses steriod nasal spray again . But in 2024 it happens again so i decided to have septoplasty . Hi, Facial pain or pressure can occur because of sinusitis. DNS causing these symptoms are not common. However there is a theory of contact point headaches happening. Your doctor might be suggesting surgery in that aspect. Please discuss with him

Can a deviated septum reoccur? I have already had a Septoplasty from my ENT doctor in later part of 2021. He shaved my septum and trimmed my turbinates. I think my nose was broken but was never fixed. I can feel how crooked my septum is at the very bottom of my nose and under my upper lip. (it slants to my right) However, 6 months after the surgery my ears have been crackling and sometimes my jaw will pop (pain will follow). Is that normal? Now this year (2023) I have had an horrible ear infection that lasted about 2 months (Jan- Feb). Now I am getting random nose bleeds (on my left nostril) with headaches and non stop cracking in my ears. I have scheduled an appointment with my ENT but it's not for another month. Do you have any advice?

Hi, yes, deviated nasal septum can causing nose bleeds as the mucosa (skin of nose) tends to get dry because of air hitting it perpendicularly. This thins down the mucosa, causes crusting and nose bleeds.

Hi doctor I have been struggling with blocked ears (pressure in both ears) since 2021 I have visited different ent specialists that have given me all kinds of medicines and nasal sprays for decongestion and inner ear fluid but none of them work. I suspect I have DNS on my left side as I prefer to sleep on my left side to keep my right nostril open and cannot breath clearly through my left nostril, my septum is also sensitive when I touch it from the inside and makes whistling noise when I sleep. During corona i have nasal blokage and one nasal blokage opened i had soar throat.after one and half year i had sinus and post nasal drip both.
