He didn't answer the question. He told us the side effects we feel from sleep apnea while we are awake. I believe the question was; Can a person have apnea type events while awake? i.e. You're lying on the couch scrolling youtube and then suddenly you gasp for breath because you stopped breathing for a second. Or you're relaxing watching a movie and you notice that your breathing has gotten really slow and you are beginning to snore, but you're still awake. Is there such a thing as apnea while awake?
