He has Moon square pluto Natally and I read from other forum, it is said 8th house has Upper hand when involves the fast moving planet like Moon and I heard mostly Moon person is feel intimidated by house person, but I dunno too since he is Pluto and his Moon fall in my 8th house. Venus fall in other 8th, I heard 8th house holds the card whether to have connection with planet person or not(based from internet forum I read), but I share 8th house overlays and many pluto with this guy and god knows who has upper hand, him being planet overlays my personal planet in 8th house, but my Pluto touch most of his planet. I have this with my boyfriend. I'm the moon and he's Pluto. It's a wide orb but I definitely feel it. I felt it right from the beginning. I was scared of him at first, and still am a little bit on a very subtle level. Like something about him makes me feel very vulnerable, uncomfortable, but also excited and intense. My moon squares his Pluto but his Pluto also trines my sun conjunct his moon in my 8th house. His Pluto squares his sun. My Pluto sextiles his sun. However his mars t-squares my Venus in opposition to my Pluto. Not sure if these positive Pluto/Sun aspects can aid in a positive soul transformation or not. I keep trying to pull away, but he is so good at pulling me back in. I think this is a narcissist/codependent relationship. I want to help him but realizing that the best I can probably do is work on myself, put myself first and decrease contact. Even if they do look flirtatious, unconsciously this is one of the ways to get the Pluto person's attention. But in the end, it's all about Pluto, the rest of the world has got nothing on him.

Yeah, run away if you can't stand this relationship. Many people fail in this relationship because Plutonian is dealing with trauma, psychological, vurnerability, transform each other to the best version and RAW honesty to reach deepest level of intimacy and understanding, facing your own demon to destruct and rebirth as new person to help each other heal, and die down our ego. This is why many Plutonian relationship only temporary because people are exhausted in the middle, however I do admire those who succeed in this relationship.

This explains a LOT. I have this with my mother lol. We have an AMAZING relationship, but she can get to me on an emotionally visceral level like NO ONE I've ever known. We have this 0degree orb so it is PREVALENT. But there are plenty of other things and aspects between us that make our relationship quite pleasant and love filled. Lots of work we've had to do over the years, though, particularly with me learning to control my impulse to lash out at her. We have this with eachother both ways my pluto square his cap moon his pluto opposite my Taurus moon. ..pluto moon connection is a karmic bond...not always easy. Obsessive. Deep deep rooting pulling, soul trigger, did I mention obsession. I saw him across the parking lot before I met him and I saw and felt mySelf levitate out of my body. He would enter the building, I would have no control over mySelf and would have to go straight to him and look at him or stare. He would have to look away or walk over and hit me or grab my body or throw water on me = pluto venus square. Play both ways but intense. He felt it too, he said he couldn't control himself around me. He has moon saturn conjunct. Very controlled emotionally. We both have scorpio rising (pluto ascendant he is) It was so intense. I would never attempt a plutonic relationship without 1) the Enneagram and a mindfulness practice, 2) Astrology, and 3) the principles of non-violent communication. (I also use tarot and feng shui.) Changes can and do happen, but insanely slowly. Be prepared to fight a protracted battle where you learn your boundaries, what kind of behavior you'll put up with, and what crosses a line for you. Depending on how important this relationship is to your soul path, it will take years, and it can involve years apart if that's what it takes for personal growth to happen (and for you both to be safe of course!).

Hi Jewel! Thanks for your informative teachings. We first and only former love have a double whammy each others Moons square the other’s Pluto. We met at the age of 12 and ever-since cant keep away from each other no matter how we talk each other or hurt each other out of the relationship. We have become hyper aware of how we both exhaust each other emotionally. I am forever blocking and unblocking him for the past decade. This has really helped me to heal as we know we have hit a final break wall. That love doesnt have to continue in order to exit. It just does and you can move on. But we also have his pisces Sun Square my scorpio Pluto & his Pluto Conjunct Sun in scorpio!!! I love him unconditionally. You’re so right...This aspect can be veeeery damaging. I have an exact 0 degree square with this guy (I’m moon, he’s Pluto) along with mars square pluto (double)...I can’t help feeling like I need him emotionally but he is cruel and controlling (natal venus square pluto). We both won’t let go, but I need to before things get abusive. I can’t see how this aspect could have a positive outcome for any two people, unless there’s a ton of harmonious aspects and extreme emotionally maturity on both ends. I've read all of the awesome insightful comments on this thread. And I think I can say I have felt all of--maybe most--of the emotions (pos and neg) each has experienced. Im so grateful to have gotten your insights and experiences....ALSO I want to share what I have noticed as a Cap moon (female) squared to a Libra Pluto man. Im thinking if the Pluto is a man, how he handles the female moon is going to be based on his own emotional maturity, his relationship to his feminine self and therefore his mother. This guy has sun in cancer (moon) square Pluto in his natal chart but trines is moon (in Aquarius). His Uranus t-squares his moon opposite Venus. He is not comfortable in his feminine self. He fears he is "different" in this respect. He also has been raised by a tough mother who was focused on business and practical matters and was abandoned by the father before he was born. (Corresponds with my cap moon which conjunct his Cap lunar eclipse and SN in Aqua). So you see, he does not know what to do with feminine energy. There is an imbalance. Management of it is foreign to him. I think he wants to learn but fears the assertive side of the feminine. Interestingly, some positive changes are happening with his mother where he is witnessing her feminine side and they are beginning to bond. I think he is on the brink of deep healing. On my end, cap Pluto is transiting my moon in 7th house (cancer rising). I am being challenged to let go of the dire need to be in a relationship where someone makes me feel happy and secure all of the time. I am being forced to be ok with being alone and finding joy within me. I cannot lean on this guy to be my everything. We have a deep bond and friendship with intense love and caring for each other, but nothing promising. I'm still trying to get to know him and weed out narcissism to be honest. But we are going very very slow. My advice is to go slow, study the other person's chart, character, past behavior. And pay attention to where you need to heal and set boundaries because no one should have total control over you, or can make you totally complete, or completely happy. 💗💗

It's interesting that in practice the roles often end up being reversed in long term relationships. Once commitment sets in, Pluto tends to give up their control in order to maintain their partner at any cost and gives into some very toxic behaviors of the moon person. To be frank, Moon person ends up revealing their worst features to the Pluto person and Pluto is so captivated at the beginning of this process that they become deeply entrenched in a codependent relationship where they lose the power the held at the onset of the relationship. Expect control issues from Pluto at the beginning to shift to the Moon person becoming outright manipulative, gaslighting and potentially outright abusive. Far worse than any Mar/Pluto pairing.

This literally happened in my moon square pluto relationship. I was Pluto. I see so many comments saying Pluto is the abuser but that was not the case for mine. The only control I had was self control. The moon person was extremely jealous, manipulative, and straight up abused me emotionally, verbally, and almost physically. I definitely did see their nasty side and even told them I hated them when they pushed me far enough. This aspect is absolutely crazy and i don’t think it’s something I would want to experience again personally. As the moon person in 2 of these relationships, I can say the pluto person needed total control. The first because he was an Acoa, and adult children of alchy’s seek control above all else, the second because he was heavy Mars, and I find Arian men to be selfishly controlling. Once I spoke up and took control back, it’s like I was dead to them.

I had a narcissist try the pick up artist (PUA) tactics on me which include the hot/cold attention giving/ abusive tactic designed to confuse the victim as well as gaslighting and deflection. I have moon in cap squaring his Pluto in Libra. There is uneasiness here. But I have done quite a bit of work with my cap moon beforehand. I will say that this person has brought up my abandonment issues and insecurities and childhood issues around my father. There is a strong emotional connectedness that has been tough to ignore. It feels so good to touch...although other aspects may be influencing this as well. I haven't had any explosive moments with him. But I usually walk away (retreat) and calm down if some passionate emotion is arising and assess my feelings (cap moon/cancer rising/Aqua sun). Thank God we don't live together and this is kind of a touch and go relationship which is probably for the better. But it does leave me longing for him and drains my life force as a result. I am using this tie up to go deeper to learn more about my own dark side and weaknesses and to clear it up. Not easy but I feel it is worth it.

I would say Pluto is narcissistic, we all have Pluto in our charts - so there a little narcissism in everyone. And moon is definitely codependent in this dynamic... Pluto is controlling and has a never ending NEED - Pluto is hollow and empty and very very hungry, and moon is a codependent giver. Both are damaged and both are hungry. Passionate relationships are painful. These passionate relationship happen when too people are on the run from their own pain...they then run each to other and BAM 💥 they passion is electric. They are a mirror image of each other’s pain...moon is avoiding their pain by giving and giving (that’s what they did with their narcissistic parent) and Pluto is filling up on the giving... then exhaustion sets in because moon gets empty, ill and the relationship ends, but the attachment to the painful relationship is sooo strong, if you can’t learn and grow from it after it ends....you will keep coming back together! Until you finally block forever ... grow... and... heal. How interesting. I find I've been viewing a lot of your difficult synastry aspect videos lately, and I'm always bummed in hearing them, but I also know that it's necessary to dive into the potential negatives of every relationship. I'm currently dating someone with whom I have this aspect and I'm the moon person. It's the only aspect to my moon we have. My moon is in my 8th house to begin with, and it's been intriguing witnessing this at play. It doesn't repel me, as a Scorpio/8th house dominant person I not only am not afraid of anything when it comes to relationships but I also ALWAYS attract Pluto-flavored relationships ranging in intensity, healing, or toxicity. When we drink, aka are in an unconscious state, this aspect has become apparent. There was one time in particular we exchanged eye contact when I was tipsy crying and he had this deep contempt in his eyes. It was like, "Oh, grow up." No words. It was multi-layered, because though I wasn't at the time able to reveal why I was crying, it felt manipulative on both our parts. This dynamic seems to be only visible in that type of consciousness, but it's not un-tappable, either. It has me laughing because in our conscious state we are so "evolved". Lol. His moon conjuncts my Jupiter. His moon conjuncts pluto in his own chart. His pluto also sextiles my Venus in my first house. His jupiter conjuncts my Pluto and Venus in scorpio on my ascendant, and my jupiter conjuncts his Pluto in Virgo. It seems that we Plutonian people effortlessly attract each other, crave each others depth, and that's why we're meant to work it out with each other. I had this aspect with a person I dearly loved! He was a great person, still love him. Actually my Venus was opposite his Pluto too! From my perspective, he came out of a toxic relationship before me and he had a child. I felt deep compassion for him, so I tried to do everything possible to make him feel comfortable. He kinda was very insecure but I tried my best I be as compassionate as possible. In my attempt to make the situation for him better I lost myself. Then I ended blaming him 🥺. I felt like he was not prioritizing me and taking me for granted. After we broke up he totally disconnected from me. Sometimes I wonder if I did him worse. Even though he told me when he broke up, that he didn’t hate me. Also, my immaturity was to completely breakdown when huge conflicts came up. Both of my parents have their Pluto in Leo square to my Moon/Lilith in Taurus and in opposition to the Sun in Auquarius of my sister. Needless to say we were a very extreme family...*)! I have this with a married co-worker, along with other aspects that show attraction, and we often have lunch at the office kitchen together and more than once, I noticed that people give us dirty looks..I think it's because there is a very hard to control, and probably very visible attraction between us. Lord knows what it must look like when we sit close and chat about casual topics like film preferences in a lively manner...normally I'd think those are very light topics of conversation, but I often find myself getting lost in his eyes. He also seemed to open up pretty fast to me about some rather personal issues. His Mars is also conjunct my Moon-Mars-Jupiter stellium, my Mars is trine his Moon. Is there a solution or is the only solution to not have this connection in your life? I’m deep in this, both of us on the low frequencies you described with our own natal conflicts with these planets. Me the moon in my 2nd with his Pluto in my 12th. We have been in and out of each other’s lives for 10 years. He was my first “love”. But this aspect is palpable. A weekly, sometimes daily occurrence. And we discuss how significant an issue it is yet when we try to distance, miss each other greatly. When this aspect is not activated we are joyful, falling asleep on the phone every night (likely unhealthy), making each other laugh. But it gets activated when I fear abandonment (natal issue) which is activated by a past of him constantly needing to reinvent himself and move far away (I imagine his natal issue). I express my feelings hoping for comfort and he dismisses, refuses responsibility, says it’s all my problem and stops taking my calls. In those moments it feels like he’s the only one with the power to heal my emotional spiral. It’s very toxic and a classic attachment theory issue. Just every time I try to cut him out and protect myself, we somehow get pulled back together. We have lived on opposite continents and still found each other. Feels like I can’t shake him. I was hopeful I’m meant to learn something from this dynamic, but from your analysis I’m wondering if this can possibly end in any other way than in my emotional destruction and his resentment and thinking I’m insane? We have some other big aspects too…Mars trine Pluto, Pluto trine Sun, sun trine sun, Venus trine Jupiter, Venus opposite moon, moon opposite Jupiter, Venus trine Mercury….all tightly orbed. Wow! I have this aspect with someone. His Pluto squares my Moon, which conjuncts my Venus (2°) so really this aspect impacts both planets. Also, my Pluto opposes his Moon. We have an unspoken bond but for the most part I'm the one that doesn't trust it/ want it. His Moon is in my 12H and conjuncts his natal Lilith (yikes!). Pluto is very comfortable in the 8th house and Scorpio. From what I have seen this does change the dynamic considerably as Pluto person has a much easier time dealing with their plutonic issues of control. However, this doesn't prevent the dynamic from emerging, but rather that Pluto person can deal with their end more... but actually become slightly more vulnerable to the Moon's uncontrolled issues coming forth just by virtue of being around you. People are transits, so no matter how YOU (as Scorpio/8th house Pluto) deal with your issues, it does not mean that the issues that are pouring out from the moon person are dealt with. In long term relationships, this can be actually far more harmful for 8th house Pluto person than moon person.

Yes but not always directly. Depends on how much you've worked on it in your own natal, but even so it still may show. The luminaries ( the sun and moon) typically have up to a ten degree orb in synastry unless it's an asteroid in question, then maximum three degrees unless it's Chiron. I know, it's complex. I will do a video on orb allowance today or tomorrow. I have been meaning to get to that. Good question.

i would Look for the close aspects first - zero degrees to maybe 3 or 5 . then how happy is the planet over all , if jupiter or Venus is there - and is the person used to that energy ? if they are a Scorpio person or have scorpio rising or a lot of personal planets in Scorpio then - it like throwing water on a person who just came out of a pool - they won't hardly notice it ... and check if any thing is retrograde the close aspects tend to define - the wide ones are more background . and check the degree of the planet - lets say if its a new born Pluto at zero to 2 degrees - its not mature - thats a lot different from 28 or 29 D. - so that is to say a mature Pluto will feel a lot different then a new born baby pluto.. or retro etc... but pluto can be a force to reckon with.

Are you plutonian yourself? Strong aspects to pluto in your chart or Scorpio/8th house placements? Plutonian people tend to be drawn to plutonian relationships so they have that theme a lot in synastry. Or pluto could be ruling your relationship houses, 5, 7, or 8 so you are attracted to people who aspect your pluto.

Also, what if you have the opposite aspect in the synastry compared to natal? For instance, my partner has sun square moon in natal, but we have sun trine moon in the synastry

Depends on the house Pluto person has natally, and depends how both planet overlays each other. This is why birth time and place is important. Example Pluto in 4th person conjuct other moon in 7th house. Now, Pluto person might caring and nurturing the moon person, while moon in 7th house may bring equal partnerships and balance relationship. Now, let's say his Pluto falls in your 10th overlay, that means he can transform you in your carreer and ambition(10th).

Absolutely. That was my case. My moon in Leo square his mars/pluto conjunction. Most painful experience I’ve lived hands down. This person knew how to hurt me and how to take my power away. Pluto can be ruthless in this synastry aspect.

I am the pluto person and sometimes I am shocked by the pain, anger and rage I seem to stir up in him. But I guess it has to do with the individual too. Like Jules say always go back to the natal charts.
