i saw someone saying that this is either a love or a hate type of relationship, and for me personally, it was a literal love-hate thing lol. i'm the house person and he was the moon person, i hated him when when we first met, then he seemed to see things about me that nobody else around saw and for some reason he cared about me, and we grew closer and closer. as the house person i was okay with keeping things to myself even if i felt comfortable sharing stuff with him, but he opened up to me like a book, completely randomly and willingly without me ever asking, telling me the deepest, darkest things about him and his life, from his trauma and family life to his sexual preferences, stuff that most people would keep to themselves. he really knew how to push my buttons though, i couldn't even begin to count how many times he has made me mad at him, but i just couldn't end the friendship, the bond was too strong. 8th house stuff really is not for everyone, it's super intense and far from surface level and superficial, even if it seems all light hearted filled with jokes, you will FEEL the intensity and the crazy magnetic bond. as a Scorpio rising i live for it lol.

I have this with someone. I'm the 8th house person. In my opinion, if the moon person has some "negative" or "dirty" tendencies I think the the 8th house person can rip this out into the open without even trying to. I feel like I bring out the absolute worst in the moon person. Everyone thinks she's so sweet, compassionate and nice but I bring out the real manipulative and two faced person she masks. Pastel Moonlight - The vast MAJORITY of people in this world are neither 100% angels nor are they the devil incarnate (100% evil). You are making it sound as if this other (moon person) is purposely hiding their dark side from others i.e.being purposely deceitful or hypocritical in some way - That may not be so. More likely you (eight house person) are the one rubbing the moon person the wrong way or pushing their buttons. That can also explain why they are more at peace & comfortable with others than with you in your presence. But, of course, you will not understand any of this until you run into someone where this placement is reversed for 'you' i.e. when you are the moon person pulling your hair out in the company of the eighth house person. I'm experiencing similar. As she says in the video, you have to look at the person's chart. The moon person has issues with commitment, alcohol and sex and glamour. I didn't know it until it was too late. I didn't study the chart well enough. He is a good person, but needs to do some cleaning up. I have been honest with him and shared what I could see. As for me, it has helped me to see where I need to clean up and continue my own healing. I love this person very very much, unconditionally, but it is not good for me and I hate to admit I may not be good for him. Trying to release at the moment.

Im the house person and he is the moon. I have never felt like this about someone before and doubt I ever will again. I(cancer sun, libra moon,mars,sat,pluto,vertex in Libra in his H8). His sun,merc,uranus,and True Node is in Scorpio. So with my moon in his eight house, I could feel this deep intensity laced with a bit of apprehension. My affections for him ran deep but I had to get up the courage, in a sense, to hug him. On the other hand, I was very affectionate. Even more than he and he was very affectionate. He was protective and I felt very safe with him. My emotions felt safe with him. I felt like he saw right through me. Flaws and imperfections were laid bare. I felt bare in front of him,period. I've only ever had this in relationships that are platonic (on my end). Both my parents, a really good friend (who it turns out was secretly attracted to me romantically - to me, he was my best friend, and to this day I still feel that way), and some random other people (they felt attraction, I did not). In every situation, the moon person (I'm the 8H) is very needy and feels like I don't love them, I'm withholding, or they're not getting the level of attention and love they want from me. What they want from me, I always find, isn't real love, but some deep need for validation and worth from another person that they really need to find in themselves. Suspicion, paranoia, assumptions, projecting... I suppose if I bought into this energy and participated, I would have a similar experience as others who feel very drawn in, connected and compelled by this aspect. But, I'm not interested, at all. I always have this outcome anytime a guy's moon sits in my 8th house. I'm emotionally drawn to them but not as much as they're. But you are going to very strongly feel that very close Sun opposition to your Moon though, since the Moon is the receptive, Yin, and a very emotional Planet, the Sun is a very powerful and activating symbol, and oppositions are all about relationships and intense pull push attractions. And if his Sun rules an Angle (especially 1st, 7th, or 4th in that order) or the 5th or 8th, you will feel it especially intensely.

Spot on. My moon falls in my husbands 8th house and conjuncts his Ceres and SN. Being a natal Capricorn moon I had never felt this level of emotional intensity and it initially scared me to death, because as you said - I knew once I went in that cave and gave into my emotions it was done. The vulnerability was terrifying and thrilling at the same time. We both felt an immediate intense connection and as if we’d known one another forever and been together many lifetimes. From my experience, every person I know that I’ve had 8th house placements with (particularly the moon) it seems to bring out a lot of jealousy, spitefulness, resentment, nastiness and subtlety trying to put each other down (as if to expose and make vulnerable/see their weakness) and yet at the same time there’s a strong attraction and sometimes even obsession, like “can’t live with them can’t live without them”. If you can overcome the negativities then it’s connecting, deep & binding like no other. But if not it can get very ugly 😑😖 & hard to let go but you can eventually. I don't experience much, if any of that, with my co-worker whom I'm in love with but can't do anything about (we both have partners, but while I'm in an open/poly relationship, she isn't, and she has a child while I don't and so I try not to even think of ever acting on my feelings). But we have some very strong Neptune and 5th House stuff. For example, her Sag Sun is in my 5th conjunct my Neptune (ruler of my 8th incidentally). Her Neptune, ruler of her 5th is conjunct my Mercury-Sun conjunction in my 5th but also shading into the 6th some. (Her Venus is also in my 4th and conjunct my Uranus--modern ruler of my Desc and Venus. And my Venus is in her 4th). And her Moon in Pisces is in my 8th. Pisces is probably the most accepting and tolerant Sign, especially when its in a positive space. I would say that we both somewhat idealize each other.

*Both* my parents have their moons in my 8th house. My meditation teacher once said that its unnatural when a child is more spiritually evolved than the parents. I didnt understand then but i do now. I think the 4th, 8th and 12th houses are the most profoundly emotionally bonding places and moon, pluto and neptune are probably as bonding as the angels and nodes.

Unnatural? Happens all the time. We are born at a certain level of consciousness on/from a soul level. For most people, that doesn't change A LOT even over an entire lifetime. Hence there are some old soul youngsters and plenty of immature soul older folks. My mom's grandparents were both less spiritually mature than my brother and I.

I had this placement with an ex. I was stalked and even raped by this person. I don't know why didn't call the police and press charges. I was the house person and he was the moon person. And i was never really that in to him like he was in to me. When I first met him he fell in love with me very fast. My Venus in Aquarius did not like that. I broke it off with him. After I broke it off with him, he continued to call me and profess his love and I'm like "I don't even know you". Further turning off my Venus in Aquarius. Eventually he grew on me and I wound up giving in because he just wouldn't go away.. Yet he was still more in to me than I was in to him. After three years I left him for someone else, and he still wouldn't go away. Long story short it's been fourteen years and I've had three serious relationships with other men and had a child, between that time and he still stalks my social media pages and ask people about me. I've blocked him on every social media site, changed my number, told him to kick rocks, told him to go to hell. And it really pisses me off that he believes were soul mates. Uggh. I'm repulsed by him , just the thought of him makes me feel uncomfortable and makes my skin crawl. I really don't like him. It's a deep hatred I have for him.

I had a relation where her moon was in my 8th house scorpio and conjunct to my north node, Sun, Mercury and Jupiter. But unfortunately we have major hard aspects so it didn't work out in the end. This goes to show that you have to look at the entire synastry chart and not focus on only one aspect because in the end it might not be as good or as bad as it seems :).

Well once I been in relationship with Venus opposite Pluto, Mars trine Pluto, Pluto sextile Moon and Mars in my 8th house. At the beginning it was paradise but in the end it was a hell. We also had very strong good aspects from Saturn and many other brilliant aspects but nothing is worked. Plutonian energy took over on everything it felt like there is only Pluto Mars and Venus in whole synastry and no other planets whatsoever.

My husband is the house person and I'm the moon person. It's almost like we know what the other person is thinking. Someone mentioned it's almost like you can feel the house person's energy. I 100% agree with that. It's like I can sense him and it is like a pull towards him. However, due to our other placements, he really gets under my skin and annoys the crap out of me. 😂 We do have an intense bond though. Edit: For instance... my Aries moon and his Virgo moon. Haha, as someone whose partner's Aries Moon is in my 8th House...I suspect you probably can get under his skin and annoy him too at times... I have a love hate relationship with my partner's Aries Moon--on one hand, I'm attracted to her feistiness, independence, can do attitude, her frank/forthright nature, etc, but her self centeredness, her temper, impulsiveness, and lack of consideration at times can be pretty dang annoying, especially for someone who has Libra Moon (our Moon's are opposite with 2 degree separation). Btw, my Moon is also in her 8th. We've both been through a lot of emotional transformation and healing with and through each other (twin soul connection).

@@angelsub9184 We met on a camping trip via mutual acquaintance with my then best friend (they had college classes together. My friend and I became friends in high school). She was at the end of a pretty toxic and unhappy long term relationship. I had gone through a significant transformation (was still going through it) when we met due to some immense stress and suffering, like my mother dying of cancer a year before (we were close), having had a string of toxic, extreme relationships, problems with my grandparents who were renting me a room, car and financial problems, etc. I had deliberately taken time off from romance and relationships to work on myself when we met. I realized I was co-dependent, and I was tired of attracting/being attracted to very wounded people (I was born with hyper empathy). Religion is more related to the 9th House, but she was a recovering catholic when we met, and I had been into metaphysics, spirituality, etc already for about 8 years when we met (I started early, at age 13). Not really any wealthier--she is better off than me financially (her job pays more than mine), and for the most part we don't share finances, at least we don't have joint bank accounts. But we do split bills etc. No children so far.

Hi Jewel, thank you for your wnderful videos! I ended up watching this one many times, since I had this with someone and eventually found out that it was a double whammy - both our moons are in each other's eighth house. The attraction and magnetism is through the roof, but sadly the other person is unavailable and this causes a lot of pain. I also found out that their Sun is conjunct my Pluto and my Venus is opposite their Pluto, which makes the situation very intense and also the friendship very hard to break. Plus, we're both plutonian individuals (my Sun in 8th, their Venus in 8th), so intensity is a desired thing. What are your thoughts on heavy plutonian/8th house synastry?

Hi Jewel. I'm intrigued by what you say around 10:20 about the Moon person's potentials that may be expressed in this context. I'm spending a lot of time with someone whose Moon-Uranus(-Vertex-Black Moon Lilith) conjunction in Sagittarius falls into my 8th house (conjunct my own Sun).
