Synchro Time! NEW FORMAT Branded Despia Decklist

Been playing a synchro build for a while. Few things I've found -Crimson dragon is viable if you run "Etude of the Branded" if you have regained+quem on field you can easily synchro Quem with Grang and make Crimson dragon, then when your opponent trigger's Grang's effect you can do the King Calamity lock with Luluwallith. + etude acts as a floodgate for combo heavy decks. -Quem is 100% the best starter but if she gets ashed/impermed and you have no way of getting albaz/cartesia on field/grave you're in a lot of trouble. Most people hold the ash for branded fusion anyway but once they figure out what you're doing the risk of quem getting negated gets higher. -Stardust Synchron is amazing in this deck too. You can Synchro 3 times with it if you have the resources as it can be brought back from Grave and can be targeted by Dis Pater. Best tuner after Quem imo -Chaos Angel while powerful and can easily be made isn't the best card to be running right now. Too many decks have spell/trap removal that makes Angel pointless and they are likely running underworld goddess. -Regained is better than Branded Fusion :DD

I’ll admit, when I tested it when others mentioned, I wasn’t impressed since it seemed to brick and be more fragile. I think your build is better balance of it. Could you maybe do some test hands to give us a good idea on how to make it work? Would be interested on how to use this to full potential.

Branded never dies!! This deck is pretty tough to pilot; there’s no real one card combo and multiple lines for each hand. Could you do a combo video playing into meta boards with your reasonings for decisions?

He has an albaz/bestial/despia combo and play guide videos. He's really opened up branded and definitely made it a well played deck for the common and advanced duelist putting in a lot of time and effort to find out the best plays possible

There is one reason to keep branded opening in your deck. The graveyard effect can be a lifesaver when your opponent tries to wipe your board with distruction effects. You can just keep one copy in your deck and toss it when sorenir goes to the grave. The opponent always forgets about it too so they end up wasting an effect. Also, I'd exchange chaos angel over Alba. A lot of mosters summoned to the board end up having more than 2500 atk or def so I don't really find the multi attack ability that useful unless I paired it with lulu.

Also your channel size is about the same and that full profile is on his channel along with the guy he helped play it for a event seems to have done well with it

Have you experimented with adding chaos angel into this decklist? Feels like branded without guardian chimera is missing a big tower and its lingering effects of immunity against battle destruction and protection against monster effects is very useful. Plus its banish effect isn't restricted to monsters like mirrorjade's.

What are your thoughts on potentially running Etude of the Branded in this build? The quick effect synchro can be used to trigger druiswurm if it’s used as material, and could dodge targeted negates if you have the monsters for a synchro. I’ve also found the secondary effect that banishes all monsters your opponent used for a ritual, fusion, synchro, or link summon to be very useful.

I feel like it has a lot of potential and is very good in the grind game and with recurring resources. Extra deck space is so tight, I also like Chaos Angel and Sanctifire (to avoid getting evenly matched) but have to make choices. I also want to make etude work so bad, but with Purrely and Tear in the format (and Floo less so), probably just a side deck card at best.

Been testing a very similar list the past month or so, I love Bystial Aluber, it is so sneaky and another way to get an albaz in grave to get carttesia live. ive been doing 2 quem, 1 aluber with the branded opening still. gonna try your version without those locks. I like the branded fusion stuff still cuz you can set up Beast, Etude, and Regained and do syncro summoning on opponents turn and just control with the bystials

What are your thoughts on etude of the branded and chaos angel? I feel like chaos angel is really strong because often you’re making it with a dark and a light so it gets it’s full effects and etude allows you to make it on your opponents turn to banish something

You can't play it because you play regained and beast and you would have to cut one of those to play a situational card just feels back and never it worth it

You should play king of the swamp because not only does it get you to one more way to fusion summon without locking you, but because you play so many dragons, you can make dragoon!

This is not tearlaments why would you play this brick when you could play a slightly better one we don't care about it being and aqua for anything. Also it's not possible to send it to the grave from branded fusion which means king sucks. Play light hexsealed fusion of you must but king is bad. Current topping tearlament deck are even cutting the card as it's a brick why would you add that into this it doesn't need it. Also by doing that you make the deck weaker to d barrier. Which was a card this deck was built to play around better as you can just play with links and synchros for a bit will d barrier is applying

Could you play Etude here? Synchro summoning during opponents turn after you locked yourself into fusion. Also you can summon Bystials during the opponents turn and have material that way on board. Lastly it´s a macro for Materials of special summoned monsters,

I'm a little surprised that you're not running Striker Dragon. Striker Dragon is really really good for getting Aluber/Albaz in the GY, and can set you up for Mirrorjade in (some) hands. Was it just not coming up for you?

Can we get combos from this build??? I’m essentially running the same thing but 60 cards instead of 40. (Inspired by your 60 card build) I’m missing nadir servant and high spirits tho sadly. I’m able to combo, and am using the deck at 2 locals this week. But if you could show case some opening hands like you did with branded academy that would be AMAZING. I have a serious question (I’m going to ask it again on your latest video) can I use Dusk Dragon to send Dis Pater to the graveyard, and let’s just say I have Regained on the field, am I able to use regained (once my opponent summons) to bring Dis Pater to the field despite not synchro summoning it first?

So, after attempting about 40 test hands with this build, here's my conclusions: - brickfest (completely unplayable hands about 21/40 hands, so ~50% chance): bystials with no targets in GY, Cartesia without any way to get an Albaz in grave, too many normal summons - when it works with synchro plays, it is bad/underwhelming (14/40 hands): a synchro deck with just two synchros already seemed doomed. The average playable hand makes dis Pater with a quem or something, which doesn't even synergize. At the very best one could make seals with dis Pater and a Regained, but at that point, why aren't you playing d link to not brick so often??? Also, seals + synchro works so much worse in this deck than it does in d link - awesome amazing ultra good boards (5/40): you drew the unsearchable branded fusion, or you used albion the shrouded with saronir to get to branded fusion. The best results seem to be achieved when you don't make any synchro, lmao. Still, since you cand fit crossout, nadir servant, etc, if your BF gets ashed it's absolutely gg with no comebacks. So, this list seems like a much worse dragon link deck, unless you draw branded fusion (in which case you're just going to do regular branded plays, but you'll still end up on much more awkward boards sometimes due to the lack of good despia cards; and you're much more sensitive to handtraps). Aaaand, it must be stressed out that this list is an absolute brickfrst, with 50% completely and utterly unplayable hands. A much better idea that I've tested in order to fool around with synchro branded was to play more bystials in a regular build and use Etude of the Branded. It kinda works, since Etude also doubles as a floodgate (at least until your opponent attempts to pop your bystial and forces you to synchro at a bad time). It is definitely interesting, and the bystials make it a bit more combo heavy, but it has less space for non-engine than the regular build and the extra deck is super cramped, which basically kills the grind game. The classic branded despia with 1 Lubellion and 1 Saronir is definitely still the best version overall.

You can see if your deck outputs playable hands consistently enough before you start playing🤷 Like, if the deck can't handle solo mode, why bother wasting time with actual games😅 Not to mention that doing a few dozen random hands says more about a deck than playing a few 1 h games on db where you might win just based on people not reading your cards🤣

I think the main difference is your Albaz interactions. Quem, Cartesia and Albaz's own effect are so powerful and hard to play around. Dragon Link's end board is a set end board that doesn't provide off-field interruptions besides a Bystial or two that don't even work against all decks.

Cool this is n3sh deck from 2 months ago also the bystial aluber is send able to the grave off sarinor and the point about how it's a dragon for dispater doesn't make any sense as you will always use any 4 tuner + a bystail to make any 10 synchro in this deck.

Striker dragon it will unbrick you hand when you open lubellion and 3 bystails. If you don't know check out n3sh also lubellion adds the bystail aluber link into striker now you have a dark for all those bystails and nothing else you will be able to make seals beast + regained which will turn your lose into a game where the rest is possible
