I got the second loop card working, It turns out it was just not plugged in properly when I changed the protocol from Hochiki to Apollo.

@@fst1775 quick question, regarding the circuits loops, do you need some sort of expander?
@fst17754 жыл бұрын
@@mrsecurity nope, depending on the panel you can have around 100-120 devices per loop.

I don't know why but my school has Apollo Devices and they are all quiet intergrated then, when we evacuate the stair ways the sounders are so loud and its still intergrated it's so weird, people are always covering their ears but im like "ugh, so boring why we have to do fire drill" When it first sounds im like ugh and im still in my seat until everyone stands up idk its weird

Just wondering, how do you type on the syncro?
@fst17754 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question, you use left and right arrow keys to scroll through what place you want to put a character, and you use the up and down arrow keys to chose a character.

Hi, do you have the software? Would be happy to provide a coppy. Also that kentech is a chub variant, chub often rebrand pannels as control master xxxx. I like working on kentec pannels Any questions I'm always happy to help

Thank you, yes I do have loop explorer now but all I need is a programming cable.

@@fst1775 it is something you can make yourself as long as you know how to solder, and get the parts (rs components)

@@mattman5406 interesting, I think I’d rather get the cable as I don’t think I have the parts to do it, plus I don’t want to risk damaging the panel or anything.

@@fst1775 The syncro's are good panels but i wouldn't pay £200 for one not even £130 lol, Hochiki is the best for the syncro's as back in 2012 Hochiki bought kentec and ever since the support for apollo has lacked as they want more and more people to use hochiki on kentec. I heard you mention about the key switch, i have a kentec, its the Kentec Syncro 6000 Series and i managed to get it for £97, they are the bigger version, my one doesn't have a keyswitch and they are very annoying as they leave access 2 quite frequently, for apollo the best panel you can get for them is Advanced Mx4's or 5s. IMO kentecs are good just for demo systems but for a proper system i wouldn't use them for apollo.

@@Jaacon05 Yep, I bidded £217 but I only payed £137. But that interesting to know. I do agree with you it does take you out of access within 25 seconds or so.

probably will replace my panel at some point, like for like. if thats the case i can use it for a demo/research system to further hack apollo hardware and create a toolkit to drive Apollo devices from an arduino. kentec make good kit, if your in need of a USB to kentec adapter to use with loop explorer. drops a message i can get you one for £35.
