(7 Dec 1975) British Naval Frihget, HMS Brighton, protecting British trawlers from the Icelandic gunboat, Thor, which has been cutting the wires of British Trawler nets in the contuinuing "Cod Wars" between the UK and Iceland. The Commander of HMS Brighton issued a warning to Thor that if they open fire on any British ship, HMS Belfast will teturn fire

This Thor (the gunboat) was decommissioned 1999. The new Thor was taken into service 2011.
