In my case of cervical myelopathy I have the left side of my body chest to toe that went numb with joint pain, severe pain in the groin knee and ankle, along with skin sensitivity , can't tell hot from cold, soft touch is extremely pain while a jab of the needle in my hind end doesn't hurt. On the right side I have spasms and locks in my rib and a jitter in the ankle of the right foot...reglexes are drastically different on both sides...I struggle with getting urination to start and have issues with bowel movements, but nothing to the degree that I'd need a cath or colostomy bag...I also have severe nerve pain with muscle spasms and locks in both upper and lower arms, right arm and hand worse than the left. In my right hand I also have 3 numb fingers (middle, ring, and pinky), and half my palm and wrist...any fine motor movements cause an increase in spasms and locks and can be painful for days after a simple activity like loom knitting. Which may include some small fiber neuropathy, as well as large fiber neuropathy...I just don't understand why I wasn't affected unilaterally but more of a hodgepodge all over...my dx was a herniated disc at the C5-6 level first then the C 6-7 did the same 3 yrs later...both times I had severe compression of the spinal cord. Thank you for these vids as I want to know more about my condition and how to explain it better in medical terms...
