Super useful, thank you. Would you be able to put together a video explaining Value Drivers (and how to build value drivers trees) ? thank you!

Hi, thanks for your feedback. We’ll take this on board when we plan our next set of lessons.

@@Pontema thanks! Looking forward to seeing more content. Would be ideal to see how value driver trees can be used for revenue/cost analysis. Perhaps in the context of M&A they could be useful also

@@jd5787 have a look at both our MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive) and Pyramid Principle lessons, they cover value drivers in the context of problem solving; it may provide you with what you are looking for

Dear Friends, I have a question: Will a company achieve financial synergies when it creates many companies or buys many other companies? Thank you
@Pontema10 ай бұрын
In theory the combined value and performance of two or more companies should be greater than the sum of the separate individual parts - financial synergies can be realised from increased revenues (e.g. cross-selling products), or by cost reduction (e.g. only having 1 marketing department rather than 2, or eliminating duplicate jobs/ roles, or merging R&D budgets). But it doesn’t always work out like that, plenty of examples out there of where management teams haven’t been able to realise the expected synergies and they actually reduce enterprise value when tried to grow (organically or inorganically).
