Definitely enjoyed this video. I learned that ultimately "Calvinists" have no clue what "Calvinism" means.

31:00 This Johan van Oldenbarnevelt was killed at the instigation of rabid intolerant Gomarists. Guilty of Arminian sympathies. Hooray for orthodox Calvinism!

That section on theology could use a counter argument. I would think that guy would lose a debate real quick. I always find it funny when people say, 'They take scripture out of context" then they themselves do the same thing or over contextualize scripture. Just as a side note, John Wesley does have comments all throughout Romans 9. The history section was decent though.

Seems Calvin’s doctrine of election is what the Bible teaches.

I don't think there is any contradiction between God's sovereignty, foreknowledge, election and predestination with human freedom of choice. It does not have to be either / or, but it can be both. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that WHOSOEVER believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). And for whom he (God) foreknew, he also predestined to become confirmed to the image of his son, so that he would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom he predestined, he also called; and these whom he called, he also justified; and these whom he justified, he also glorified. Free will and predestination are both taught in the new testament.

Yes, Calvinists believe in free will. But we also believe that men are naturally in bondage to sin, and require God to act before we would ever choose him. See, for example, the 2nd London Baptist Confession, Chapter 9: Of Free Will.

@@DiscerningHistory Thanks for clarifying. So do Calvinists say it is 100% God's sovereign election/predestination; but what % is human's free will, would you say?

How many popes can the average Roman Catholic spout off by name? Apparently popes don't matter.

It was a very bad thing for the Catholics, article 36 is still supported by the dutch reformed party (SGP), Article 36 the considers catholic church a false religion and it should be destroyed. That the SGP (and probably other reformed authorities) don't want to abandon this article only tells me that the most hated church is the only church that represents the true word of God. The reformed changed the word of God and hate the true word of God. God have mercy on them.
