First, the Trump rioters who did not respect the police and acted in opposition to what they should have known was the will of the police, who had the authority to defend the Capital. The number of those rioters is much larger than I thought. Possibly into the hundreds. I think the sentences were fair in the cases that were mentioned, except in the case of the horned guy. Secondly, Pelosi. Her responsibility for this disaster is primary. She was either unbelievably incompetent or had unscrupulous political motives in her decision to leave the Capital essentially unguarded. If the Capital had been guarded as it was against the BLM protestors, the whole thing would have been avoided. So, the Trump rioters and Pelosi are both to blame.
