The Lost Island Series is a Syntac Adventure on ARKs latest Map. In this series Syntac will tame, breed and mutate all of the new beasts that roam this ARK, the Amargasaurus, the Dinopithecus and the Sinomacrops with the hopes of facing the Dinopithecus King Boss and his minions!

Ive been doing a nomadic no-flyers (except sinomacrops) playthrough. Traveling on rafts and land dinos makes the map feel SO much bigger than it already is

I have been using the canoe for water travel, rarely use it in Genesis 2 because most waterways are small but seems perfect for this map.

one tips is i used a bow to kill them and parashot and the x attack on the sino and you can stand still in the air and then just kill 6 babies and get it under 85% Health

Apparently, you can net the alpha and just kill all the betas around them. And, you can feed the alpha to tame it even while it is still netted. I tried this just yesterday and I managed to tame a bunch of them that way. You honestly don't even need to use a trap.

23:18 Syntac getting destroyed and comboed by spino. I really enjoy when a wild creature like spino or rex which usually just attack with terrible ai gets their advantage over a player because that’s what other dinos must feel when getting thrown around by player controlled tames

Hey, in case ya want more Sinomacrops: They tend to spawn quite a bit towards the center of the Desert island towards the south near all the lakes, and since there's always a bunch of bugs to kill, it should be rather easy to get some! I like, by the way, that the Amargasaurus have unique taming requirements: In the heat? Insulating Food must be consumed. Cold? I assume food that protects you from the heat.

I found a spot in the swamp where Sinamacrops love to spawn, there’s a waterfall that goes down 3 times and it has a really peaceful setting

@syntac PLEASE READ. If you double tap jump the sinomacrops will do a quick and short burst upwards. Good for gaining altitude.

I love the lower level weighting Lost Island comes with. I know it's probably very unpopular, but to me it adds so much value to those creatures that aren't quite max level or even very close to it, and when you do come across a max level animal it's even more special. Grats on 1M btw

I found a really easy and effective method for taming dinopithecus. Go to the castle, there are two separate areas. There is pretty much always a pack in each area. You can stand on the roofs of buildings or behind the doorways in the wall (they can't fit through). You can then just shoot them from there

Syn if you hold the jump buton with the Dinopithecus You jump further, and You can use the slam atack mid air, damage scales with heigth o3o

12:50 (Fair warning, I play on console so i'm not sure what differences there are) There are two types of gliding: there's regular gliding, and "sprint" gliding where you can change your angle of descent and do dives and stuff. You change types by pressing sprint, on console. If you're looking too far up during a "sprint" glide your Sino will just stop and you'll start to fall. Which might be the problem you're having. However, you can switch to a regular glide and it will automatically level out so that you're gliding straight.

the ground slam on a snow owl works the baboon are weirdly considered large creatures so anything below a rex won't attack also you can jump and ground slam if you can do it quick enough jump then spam ground slam you can attack quicker with a higher damage output

I think the reason Sarco's don't always turn on attack like that is because you're already attacking in one direction and it doesn't wanna turn away from the direction you've been facing

Hey syntac when ur using the sinomacrops you fall straight down sometimes when flying because you don't have enough momentum to fly forward (glide forward) at least that's what it seems like to me

Geez, this Tek suit guy.. Joking Syn. Seriously though, the standard box or gate trap for taming Dinopithecus works fairly well since in wild they don't climb, stops them from running away so you can kill the pack & make the leader watch before feeding it the flesh of it's pack.

monke tip: getting hit whilest tryna do a ground slam or throw poop? cant help with the poop throw, but u can jump and do a ground slam whilst in the air, so jump and right click on PC, L2 on PS4/5, and LT for Xbox

you can also jump and do the ground slam, i dont think the damage changes from the height of the drop but jumping and doing the ground slam helps out a lot

Barry fits in tunnels under tower. No idea why you had spiders under there I saw absolutely no spawns down there on single player also didn’t find anything but rich metal nodes down near brood mother sacs. The tunnels seem to just be escape routes leading to jungle and cliff sides. Love your vids.
