since lights are wireless now you should put a lamppost right behind each set of armor to give it a “spotlight” effect. Not sure how it would look once the artifacts are all in but it’s worth a try

C4 is a classic way to break the hives cleanly in one go. grapple up and smack 2 pieces of C4, then retreat and blow them from a safe distance. Queen is free and ready for an easy tame as you run up to her spamming E lol

I originally thought so too after seeing Axeman and Evo do it. However, apparently, after I tried MULTIPLE times last night, it is not an option for me. Couldn’t tell you why. That being said, was happy to see here that are other ways.

​Bug Spray is still required. the queen won't take the rare flower or kibble if you don't have bug spray on. the rush and spam is so you can get her before she notices you through the bug spray.

Can confirm that vanilla bee hives in ASE could not be placed on foundations or ceilings. S+ hives could.

I always put my bee hives in the greenhouse on the foundations and I played on windows version or xbox so no mods. I'm so confused lmao

Queen bees can also now be found outside of hives just floating around and tamable. I have seen them around green obelisk and the north east pond area.

21:51 you gotta admit, that was an awesome strategy. They used the drop to lure you in then took you completely by surprise with that ambush though that would be horrifying if cave creatures did that on a regular basis😁

@syntac If you want to try a similar challenge with friends, then do a time trial. Basically agree that everyone have 3 days to prepare for a cave dive, and which cave it is (like the ice with purlov). Then you take turns to see who can finish it the fastest without dying. It would be fun to watch, because you have to be fast but safe. Also interessting to see what tame (singular) each decide to bring

Hey Syntac just wanna let you know three things 1. To get the dreadlocks hair style the one that you used for syntac in survival evolved you need to assend on alpha 2. The wooden spike fences does work however only on humans and medium to large dinos it does not work on non mounted small dinos. 3. To get a floating creature simply build a foundation a few walls and then a ceiling on the wall put the desired creature on the ceiling and remove the foundation in survival evolved this worked not sure for survival ascended tho.

You should make a 'bridge' between your artifact sections with greenhouse glass, might look pretty cool, maybe even adding the greenhouse panels under each artifact so they glow down through the floor.

You can now find queen bees flying around. I've tamed 4 at the west side of green ob, they spawn around the path at the west side.

I always figured, in ASE, that if you did a wipe it would take out the queen but leave the actual hive. So then you find and destroy it and it's empty.

The only cave on the island that might be fun to do like the lava cave would be the one on carno island. You should be allowed parachutes and maybe bolas (bolas to use on other players, not dinos).

You can keep leech blood and honey infinitely by equipping them on fishing poles. Then when you want the resource back, just unequip them!

Onycs target riders rather than the tame is my understanding as well as shredding armor, though not as effectively as the arthro. I can see a huge swarm of bats and dimorphs being a force to reckon with in PVP.

The Lava Cave video was really cool, but you're right that it's not going to work as well for other caves. It probably would've been best to start with some other easier caves and have the Lava Cave be the ultimate challenge later on, but it was a great video nonetheless. Hope you and the boys have some plans for some other team ups though.

What a creative way to get a Beehive. Most just use Grapples and C4. Though I have heard that wild tameable Queens do spawn in the wild now.

On offical I’ve found mine wild on the ground like they have ground hives and only ever used bug spray the lag lets me take them by the time I run up on em to passive tame 😅

You can find giant queen bees just wandering around down south between where you and Axe built your first bases and the red obelisk. I got 4 the other day, scared the poor beach bobs cause when I told the other tribes the southern beach got invaded by all the high level players looking for bees was kinda funny watching people shoot each other over not having to go into the redwoods for honey. 😂

took me 5 mins to get 3 hives, bug repellent ghillie and an argy. didnt get stung once. dino wipe doesnt destroy hives but kills the queen, you need to do a beehive wipe.
