@@23Raind While you make a fair and factual statement, Jake was seen to constrict around Beans in order to intimidate her. Also, he named a gecko Rango, and Rango is a chameleon rather than a gecko, so I think some creative liberties are not unreasonable. :) And having watched the rest of the video, I can see Moros was clearly inspired by Rattlesnake Jake when he created this creature. The hat and the bandolier are a dead giveaway, and if those aren't similar enough, the reload animation on the Gatling gun is too similar not to be based on Jake, as well as the coiled positioning while firing.

The taming method plus Syn's reaction to the chibi were both the best😊 It's basically both a titanoboa if it had a TLC and a better Basilisk. The fluid movements are so freaky yet for a snake, feel so natural and the Rattlesnake Jake reference💕

If i understand correctly, its the first snake in ARK to have real slithering mechanics. So thats why the animations look so fluid (even though it sometimes seems to send him into the air when moving between stances)

I'm super glad you enjoyed this beauty haha cuz man what a pain in the ass he was to make lmfaoooo By far the most complex creature I have ever done code-wise A lot of bugs (including many seen in this video) are being fixed currently and im making a good bit of QOL changes and much more. Few things you may have missed, - Swallowing a dino gives the item in Gigant's inventory, and when the item runs of of durability (aka when the creature is fully digested) it turns into a Pellet Remains which can be redeemed for loot like gacha crystals, and the quality loot depends on Victim level + Dragweight. - Fully digesting provides lot's of food to the hunger bar - The constricting is able to kill dinos without oxygen stat (the display icon just wasn't showing which is being fixed) - Most of the things about the snake can be configured in the admin remote that comes with the mod (and has a whole menu) - Chibi provides insulation buff as well - The Tailgun works best when on level ground for aiming, being rotated weirdly on a rock can affect the aiming accuracy slightly. - Hypnosis is supposed to have a little circle progress bar that shows you the progress & torpor. (Bug being fixed) - Shed skin is supposed to make hostiles target the skin instead of you and provides a health & speed boost temporarily - Many more things too are in the mod :) Thanks for reviewing it once again!

9:56 a few snakes can go backwards but most don’t due to their body composition, snakes muscles and scales are made so that they can go forward, gliding over substrate easily, and while they CAN go backwards, it takes up a lot of energy and can hurt their belly scales, so they don’t do that usually, atleast that’s what I’ve read

Fun fact, Gigantophis is smaller than Titanoboa. Gigantophis grew up to 30 feet meanwhile Titanoboa grew 50 feet. So the size difference in this game literally garbage. Titanoboa in my opinion deserves this buff. Its super shitty. Cant defend for its life, and basically never used

This is the main reason I hate the titanoboa in ark. Way too small, completely useless to tame especially ever since the kibble system change, and you can't do anything with it (riding, cloning, etc). Not to mention it's design is mid at best. Really hoping they overhaul it one day and make it a constrictor too

This snake actually has a few mechanics that I wish were on the Titanoboa, which isn't too surprising in the grand scheme of things. The current Boa is obviously kind of pointless as a tame, along with being one of the most tedious creatures to tame and maintain. I think the Titanoboa should function as an all purpose bear-trap, that should be able to constrict almost every creature, varying by the target's size and the boa stats. Also, I didn't know this thing's Chibi was that! That may actually be one of the best chibis I've seen in Ark. Though there does seem to be a bug with it when you're using the minigun attachment, as it too was ejecting spent casings. Edit: Oh, and then moments later it looks like more stuff happened, where the wrong textures were being applied to the chibi.

Have you never seen Rango?? The cowboy gear is totally a reference to Rattlesnake Jake Also yes, snakes can actually go backwards. They don’t do it often as it’s difficult for them. Generally they do it if they, for example, come to a dead end inside like a hollowed out part of tree and it’s too tight to turn around. They use specialised muscles that can kinda shuffle them forwards and backwards
