So much love to detail sounds and a great presentation. This video is the reason why I bought yesterday a YC73 and I can't even play. Thanks a lot for your explanations 👍

"Set up in stereo"... absolutely! Twice the schlep, but the sound is sooooo much better. You'll never go back to mono, playing thru one amp.

Thank you so much for the comprehensive review. I weighed my options on a Nord vs YC88 and bought the YC88 in June - thoroughly LOVE it. One question for you guys. With all the great sound voices in the board why isn't a "clarinet" included in "winds"? When someone says winds to me I think clarinet first. Oddly, though I never expected to need that voice, I'm a little curious why there are saxes, multiple flutes, trumpet, etc, but no clarinet. Any chance this might get added on the next update? Thanks so much!

Wow, this keyboard looks amazing. I'm curious about the pad sounds. I play a lot of worship music and need to pair pads with pianos. Are there any videos about that type of sound design you could point me to?

Hi there great video(s). Would you know how I can play a YC88 Organ voice from an external keyboard (Kurzweil K2000S) while playing a piano voice on the YC88? With Thanks Dave in BC

@@studiodlux Understood. You might be able to ask Yamaha Music where their distributor closest to you is and if they have this keyboard.

Seems Yamaha has taken ideas from Korg, Nord and Roland with this keyboard to make it more aimed at live performance. Roland has had the "drawbar" idea for ever, then Korg Kronos, and Nord has been know for their three different areas making them easier to change patches live and on the fly. Give the Key people what they want, nicely done Yamaha! Yamaha has improved on their Hammond sound, nice piano strings and horns for a for a long time, but getting around in their instruments for live performance used to be more difficult, They may have solve that with this keyboard.

Not only with your demo, I notice with most demos, the sound is played thru a distorted effect. Not all of us are hard rock players. Why not demo the sound as it is and then if you want, add overdrive and distortion effects. The Vox sounds were all terrible unless you're playing 90s music. What about the 60s..Dave Clark 5, The Animals, etc. Would like to hear more Hammond sounds with classic Jazz settings and not all hard rock Leslie on 10 with bad tubes Deep Purple sounds. My 2 cents..Thanks..

A little hilarious, as your Bosendorfer on the CP is considered one of the worst you've ever done. YC series rendered the CP redundant, especially so with the 88. You should perhaps stop ripping people off. I haven't personally been caught; but the forums are replete with people who are extremely ticked off. Thats likely why you have Abdol and other posters on the Pianoworld forums calling your company a disgrace. Without VRM and String Resonance, the CP model is a dud out the gate and will be barely used. It's arguably not an upgrade even against your own CP4 stage. Which is perhaps aptly titled 'the best stage piano we've ever made'. That remains so. People should ignore your junk and only buy Kawai. You can't come close to their Grand Feel action. You've barely even surpassed the Korg Kronos Rh3 and thats decades old lol!

Of all the places I expected to see aggressively rude people, the comment sections of stage pianos, workstations and synthesizers didn't even make the list. There is a way to express your issues without doing all of what you just did.
