Holy shit you know Radiohead’s keyboard tech... that’s awesome! I saw them on the same tour and it was a show I’ll never forget. They are one of several artists that inspired me to get into synthesis and they hold a special place in my heart. Your son has good taste! Thanks for the great content! Edit: I also visited the moog factory, for the first time, around the same time of the year you did. What a treat!

As a frequent customer of Syntaur, I'm excited to see where this series goes. Would love to see more that Arp Quadra from the intro, there is so little info/videos on youtube of them.
@sloppycrotch72898 жыл бұрын
Justin I have an old half working quadra. I was excited to see one in the beginning. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it
@JCBudro168 жыл бұрын
Good luck with that. Quadras are notoriously hard to get parts for these days, and some parts you can't get at all without cannibalizing other Quadras. And if the membrane switches aren't working you're pretty much SOL. You could always send it to me and I can add it to my pile of restoration projects on top of my Roland GR500. :D

I had no idea Syntaur had a youtube channel. I ordered some parts back in 2012 from Syntaur. Thanks for your service! I also went to Moog during the summer of 2016 and looked in their showroom.

@russell_szabados6 жыл бұрын
Speaking of the 8P, I still have a JX-3P/PG-200 programmer that I worked for through the summer of ‘84. That synth is built like a tank, it’s been sat upon, survived beer spills and even fell off the stage at CBGB. You turn Omni off by looping a MIDI cable then powering up, lol. That synth is like the son I never had.

Look forward to your next synth round up vid. Best

Wow, i had one of those Akai Ax 73 as a young boy... Had to press "Auto tune" every time or else it sounded false.... For the last sound in the bank, i programmed a jet engine sound, me and a friend hooked it up to my fathers big stereo, turned up the volume and pushed three high notes. The noise was like... An airliner rewing up for takeoff thrust. My dad rushed into the room furious, shouting -What in the hell are you doing!! -Hell turn it down!! So many great memories... R.I.P dad! We all miss you....

Been watching your series, and I'm impressed. I know we live in a throw away society, but I never knew there were so many broken/abused keyboards out there. How do you find all of them? Glad you exist, I'll be looking at your website soon to find a replacement key(only one broken, everything else works) for my 80's Casio keyboard. Don't want to get rid of it, even though I have a new Yamaha.

Those racks are from Target, and we just bought another one so I can give you exact details. The brand is Room Essentials, it's $59.95, and the store item number is 002-11-0185. On their site, it is listed as 'Adjustable 5-Tier Wire Wide Shelving Unit - Black 0- Room Essentials'.

Do you ship in europe and if you do if there is a solution for the volts because we use 220v here ! Thank you
@Syntaur6 жыл бұрын
We ship all over the world - in fact 1 out of 4 packages we send goes overseas. The voltage issues only come into play with the power supply end of things - so the power transformer or power supply board might be different for different continents. But other circuit boards and components will be the same.
@Syntaur6 жыл бұрын
We do ship worldwide - in fact, a fourth of our orders are from outside of the US.
