Such an underrated synth. I'd love one. I had the chance to buy one in Sheffield, but I have too many synths in my collection.But like women can never have enough shoes, a man can never have enough synths. Just less room to move about in. Maybe I'll find the kitchen again, Uhmm. Now that's a thought Kithen?. Nice demo.

Hehe... yes, its true a man can never have enough synths -- it's just a matter of space and budget! :) AN1x is still a great synth today.

I was letting synth videos play in the other room and I was like "WOW, whats making that sound!!!". And then I was like, oh it's a AN1x of course. Listening and getting a feeling of relief, like all is well and ok in the world. Never fear, the AN1x is here.

Some day I will acquire the AN1X or the K5000, once I no longer care about the cost. :) But for now I'm developing and layering drum sounds. Oh, cheap equalizers were developed for one true purpose, that is to rattle the windows and the doors and the walls, all is well with the world if you can do that!!! The right combination of Low frequency EQ + distortion + kick + 2000w amp + 4 foot speakers = bliss! Shake rattle and roll!

I thought you might enjoy this kzbin.info/www/bejne/rp-5eI2roax6e7c Thanks for putting your sounds out there. Many musicians are afraid to share their sounds because they're afraid it will end up on someones album somewhere. But it's the only way we can share and express! You can't live your life in fear!

Thanks for the comments. AN1x is actually quite reasonably priced these days while K5000, seems to be rising lately... both are great synths. I agree, it's nice to hear what sounds a synth can do, it's one of the main reasons why I demo them myself! :)

What "basic" settings do you have the AN1x on to get those long ambient sounds ?? I recently bought a brand new AN1x, and i've yet to find the right settings to get the long basic ambient sounds from. Can you help?? I know you tweak the original sounds w/ knobs etc, but I just need to know some basic settings. thanks so much I LOVE my AN1x and your videos.
@synth4ever10 жыл бұрын
Congrats on your AN1x! Its been awhile since I've done this demo but if I were to guess, I probably used an INIT patch with a sine or square wave. I had long ADSR envelope times (decay, sustain and release) + long reverb decay settings, and I might have used the enhancer FX as well. I also used an arpeggiator to build the sound into a drone. Try it and see.
@ChristopherWoods11 жыл бұрын
More awesome!
@gossamyr7 жыл бұрын
How did you get it to drone? I only know 2 ways, the onboard sequencer(or any for that matter) and plugging in the wrong kind of sustain pedal(my korg sustain pedal is the wrong kind). I gotta know, fill me in
@synth4ever7 жыл бұрын
Arpeggiator, long ADSR release times, reverb.

Although one can only have *one first synthesizer,* (mine being the QS6), I wish this had been mine. I confuse it with the CS1x though; which is the one with channel aftertouch, and which has the increased polyphony?
@synth4ever4 жыл бұрын
The CS1x has 32-voices and no aftertouch, AN1x only 10 voices but has channel aftertouch.

Some people like broccoli, some people don't. Some people find guy falling down stairs in shopping cart amusing, some people don't. There is no 'higher' or 'lower'.
@mark120119726 жыл бұрын
When I ran my 50 miler I was both higher and lower. I was high as a kite singing at the top of my lungs listening to my walkman, and I was in agony my muscles screaming in pain. Through it all, I knew both higher and lower. When in heaven there is only higher and higher. It's all high. That's why we come down here to experience falling down the stairs in a shopping cart. It's a unique experience in the universe, I highly recommend it! :) But first buy a helmet and spend all day praying that God will knock some sense into you and change your mind about the whole affair!

I guess this guy thinks he a genius. Never touches the keyboard...this synth is older than he is....smarter too. People "who just turn knobs" shouldn't be considered musicians (BTW the patch was probably factory installed) I have a AN200, so I know what I'm talking about. You can do WAY more cool stuff than this.
