Normies, or casual consumers, parrot any popular opinion, be it good or bad, just not to be left out. Dont believe me? How many people were going against Synth and other people for saying AC Shadows will flop? Suddenly when Ubisoft stocks dropped and they started to make questionable decisions, then everyone switched flag and is now boycotting the game, again parroting popular opinion. They cant make their own opinion or have their own beliefs, then they would have to stand behind their beliefs and what if it was wrong? They would be left out. For as much as new generation claims to be "independent" and morally correct, they are the easier to mold to any form you want.

@labelnine This too, I find it funny how they will do this but when game is japanese suddenly its all good no matter how bad it is. Luckily people are still sane enough to know Ghost of Yotei is bad, but the fact you can make any decision as long as the game is made by or related to Japan is insane.

they're not independent at all, and it has nothing to do with the newer generation, it has nothing to do with intellect, it has nothing to do with their 90 different "definitely not mental illness types that are not made up guys we swear" i know because i'm still pretty young, i'm extremely stupid, (i don't think i'm mentally ill but i've never checked, doubt it though.) they all have been relying on other people to do research for them, that's literally it. and since we have access to the internet, now we think we're all smart all of a sudden (i'll explain the theory but it will be a bit long.) there is this common belief they have where "If X-Tools for X-Job Are Better, Than X-Job Is Better" We've seen this in video games, where some will think that since game development tools are better than ever, it must mean that gaming is better than ever. (which is so fucking stupid) same thing goes with personal perception of our intellect. we now have the internet, great tool for learning things, doesn't mean we actually use it to make ourselves smart (i'd know😭) since people have so much access to information, and not enough intellect to decipher and process it all, they resort to listening to others opinions (which there is nothing wrong with). the issue is that they will use this mentality and then think "i've done my research, i cannot be wrong, other people who have done research agree with me too." (when they haven't) i've seen this from all generations, it's due to a disease of ego, not age/generation. sorry for the long ass comment, i did not mean to make it this long 💀, i hope this helped you learn the theory i've made (which has like a 99% chance of being true) and you understand it's not about their generation. this is not an insult or negative reply by the way, i'm horrible at typing so i'm sorry if this comes off as rude.
