2013 SL550 AMSOIL Differential Gear Lube 75W-90 Change

We are back with my 2013 SL550 changing the differential gear lube to the AMSOIL 75W-90 100% synthetic Severe Gear. This differential holds about 1.3 quarts of gear lube.
I will be changing the gear lube on my vehicle every 30,000 miles because of the high heat here in Las Vegas. For every 18° hotter a lubricant runs it oxidizes at twice the rate.

After changing the motor oil doing the AMS oil engine flush putting in the K&N Factor replacement air filter and changing the rear differential and the transmission fluid and the radiator coolant. The Car feels totally different. It's about 25% less vibration in the motor. The whole drivetrain is quieter with about 30% less vibration. There is already a huge difference in fuel mileage I would guess about two and a half miles a gallon average better so far.

Need to do mine soon. Both diffs, transfer box and manual gearbox need changing to Amsoil. Also to highlight transmission and diff oils are often forgotten about and should be changed when required. Don’t neglect them.

Just got my ATF changed to amsoil, pulled the KAM fuse, followed the idle/transmission relearn procedure, took about an hour and I'm happy to say all shift points are softened but not slipping and it hold gear a lot better plus a 2 mpg increase. Oem? More like NOEM lol

Just switch to 5w 30 SS for the engine, checked my catch can and it is almost always low or empty. Just nice to have piece of mind. Plus smoother engine and transmission performance is great.

Eben,, Mercedes are built like a tank...i beat the crap out of my 2017 E300 4 cylinder turbo every day...i drive it like i stole it ...the car has about 50k miles and it has been bullet proof..... i use Amsoil 5w40 or 0w40 oil and the engine runs buttery smooth.....😀😀

Yes that one will be up next I did the video last week and I will be publishing it this week coming up really amazing the difference now. The whole drivetrain is much quieter and shifts faster and I would say my average fuel mileage is already up about two and a half miles a gallon

Another great Amsoil video. However, I am not big fan anymore of K&N filter. I used to use K&N. Be carful use the spray oil when you spray. It might give you engine light warning and ruin your oxygen sensors.

Did the front and rear differentials Friday evening. 75w-90 in the front and 75w-140 in the rear. 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport Altitude 3.6L. It was super easy. The front fluid was in great shape but the rear was pretty dark. It was the factory fill . Getting the fluid swapped over to Amsoil was immediately noticeable. My trip computer was registering 21.2 mpg and now 22.9 with a high of 23.5. The rear differential is as smooth as butter. What is next for your Mercedes? Transmission fluid? For me the way I drive in the high heat here in Las Vegas I will be doing it every 30,000 mi on my personal car. If you live somewhere where it's not as hot and you're doing a lot of highway driving you're easily good for 60,000 mi

For me I always like to change the fluids before they start the change color. It's such an inexpensive thing to do. I'll still do a 10,000-mi oil change on my Mercedes It has literally burned zero oil and I've already driven $3,600 miles. I'm probably going to do a filter change at 5,000 and do an oil analysis and show how good the oil still is. And then I'll do an oil analysis at 10,000 in show even in high heat here in Las Vegas It's still good

For me I've seen so many types of oil I go by the look of it if it looks good it's good if it looks like something's not right then I change it. I've done a lot of oil analysis and believe it or not with AMS oil the way it looks is the way it is if it looks like there's fuel contamination then you definitely want to change it when it gets then

I got that video shot about 4 days ago It should be coming up within a week. Huge difference in the shifting. The drive train has about 33% less vibration now. I would estimate my average miles a gallon are up by two and a half average miles a gallon already.

Im going to start doing everything you are doing to your SL in the next couple weeks.. You and I share the same passion for cars as well as others. The video's are very appreciated. Sometimes a little silly but we'll worth watching. Keep up the good work. The reason for my question was because the GMC requires 75w85 like my Toyota. I, at the time wasn't to educated with Amsoil products and decided to go with Redline. They're one of a few companies that offer the 75w85. Since then I am a little more knowledgeable with your products and very excited to start using them on my Vehicles. I also know now why all these companies started using lower viscosity oils. It was to squeeze out as much mpg as possible to meet federal guidelines. I feel very comfortable using 75w90 in 75w85 place. I've been using Redline products since 2005 in my 2005 Corolla XRS, and 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4.0. I don't know how good the product is because I have never done any oil analysis test done. I just feel comfortable using the product. The comparison videos are awesome a long with the videos with you servicing other vehicle. You should team up with Steven from AAMCO transmission more often. He's cool too. Very knowledgeable with Transmission. Shout out to him as well.
