Proportionally there were less users on KZbin back in the day but this is a piece of art that people put love and effort into. It’s a satire of Science innovation only because it’s mandated by capitalism. Science is power when it’s for profit, it’s a little time capsule of that millennial and Gen X golden age of Valve game and other video game internet parody culture. In the same realm as Machinima…and it can’t even get 1 million views a decade later. I hate the curmudgeonly “things used to be better” but the drop in KZbin culture quality within 15 years has been horrendous. I’m Gen Z and I’m already disgusted by how bad things have gotten, by how inane content is and what people will do for engagement. People used to make songs, parodies, short films, cosplays, miniseries, comedy start ups, CGI videos to even get noticed by the algorithm. Today the only things of any worth are decent video essays and the rest is just “content”.

Also another thing, GLaDOS killed almost everyone in the facility. So does that mean that Black Mesa guy (If you played Half-Life 2, Part 2)is dead? One other thing, Half-Life and Portal are the SAME EXACT Time line. Remember, Aperture Science invented the portal project, who knows where the Boreas went. That was their FIRST test. We really don't know where it went.
