a Minimoog ...this sound should be never missed....after buying these Synth for € 1300.-- in 2002 I restored this Instrument. Change wheels, knobs.. clean the keyboard and coloured the wood... it's sound great the oscillators wonderful tuned..
enjoy this little Solo.. I can't get enough from this synth.

Little did we know how quickly the digital stuff dated, yet the analog still sounds fantastic. I also had a 909 and an 808, juno etc.. sold those to get an 8 track tape deck with MMC sync to cubase and opcode studio vision and a syquest drive lol

+ Moogfreak. Wake up man. All of the Pulse parameters are controllable via a Midi controller maybe ?? Check for example on KZbin the demo between the ASB MiniMax and the original. There is NO difference. Stop feeding the mythical idea that analogs sound better over digital. That is bullshit. Ever heard Lynx DA convertors with a Moog VST ??? So get real my friend. I've owned my first analog synth in the 70's (SH2000) and sold my last analog in the 90's (M12)...so stop telling blabla. With all respect for the guy who plays the keyboard in this demo like it should be done, but this is perfectly doable on any other synth with enough control surface.

I was looking for opinions on why the Model D was held in high regard (beyond it's historical significance), came across an old thread on Gearslutz where the poor OP was utterly vilified and trolled, then found a link to this buried within all the vitriolic posts. I get it now. It's not just the "sound" but the simple UI that allows for this kind of intimacy with it. Watching it being played with the same type of adroit technique as a masterful acoustic instrumentalist illustrates how the simple UI works to make it an "instrument" in the classical sense of the word. I've watched it four time already and it's still amazing. Masterful. It almost sounds as if the first part is a bit of a nod to Karlheinz Stockhausen's Helikopter-Streichquartett
