The sounds are so moving , so rich , so beatiful. Great work , Im starting to think this is the best and greatest synthesizer on the market today.

You’re right. I’ve owned most of the classics (including those $30k classics), at one time or another, since the 80s. And this synth sounds best out of any of them, no joke.

It reminds me of an SQ80 with modern samples. Great for warmth and eeriness. The pianos are so smooth, and the strings are so rich and electric.

Same! The ESQ-1 and SQ-80 were fantastic synths. Great sample sounds, and true analog filters. Plus, poly AT.

The esq1 was my first DAW , had a really powerful sequencer and could do some nice quirky tones (great choir pad, "wavbel" tone , a usable piano and capable of a bunch of great analog style sounds) . One thing this has going for it that the ensonias lacked is a "knobby" analog interface. Im starting to think I want one

Thank you for taking the time to record all of this for people interested in buying the keyboard. That's what I love about your website, I was able to look up an obscure unit and knew how it sounded bc you had audio demos of every patch 👍

It reminds me of what I thought I'd be able to achieve when I bought a ROMpler a long time ago: "Samples! Synthesis! This will be great!" But it was convoluted and limited and inspiration-killing. Instead, the Prophet X is fast, intuitive, inspirational, and sounds much, much better. Plus it's built like a tank and gorgeous to look at. It's a keeper for me.
@sub-jec-tivАй бұрын
And it can do all kinds of crazy stuff, like FM with samples through the mod matrix. 👌 You can’t do that on most ROMplers

All i care about is how good it sounds. Am using less layers and can make more unusual musical choices because even when you play discordant tones it still sounds beautiful. The sound takes you along wherever you need to go. Cues get rave reviews from clients. 👌 Especially if you send it your own wavesamples, it’s a beast.

I might be imagining it, but something about these patches sounds slightly better than when I play them on my new Prophet X (more organic/analog). Did you change them or are you going through some outboard gear? Could be just that your playing is much better than mine. :)
