I just ordered one the other day, really excited to get it in my hands. I love that there are so many features/tools at your hands, with minimal menu diving, just a shift button and you can really do a tonne. Sounded great BTW!!

Hey @WasabiNoise :) you can kindof record your Arp ... just press record, after recording switch to the Sequencer track ... there you gonna find your recorded ARP. Adjust the tracklength beforehand, otherwise youll just have the first 16 steps

Thanks. When I recorded the video, I was using the latest firmware version and it didn’t have that option, I’m glad they added this, so cool. Thanks and hapoy recording too!!!

You use like 8 different apps for this? Was it hard for you to get this track done or did you literally need like a few hours in two days? Would I be able to produce a similar synthwave track as a total rookie? Love your videos by the way.

I appreciate your approach to step sequencing the arpeggio manually, and then switching things up by muting different steps in the sequence. Just got my Arturia a month or so ago with a bunch of eurorack modules on the way. SUPER stoked to dive in. Curious what limitations a standard iPad has vs an iPad pro, at the very least I'm hoping to be able to use my iPad as an oscilloscope.

I need a new channel to watch and I like your music. You should test the deluge; op1, tracker, kdj one, beat thang, organelle, maschine + or the blackbox with the keystep pro.

Wonderful video!But I have some question.How do you connect keystep pro to your ipad pro and other devices.I see you have Zoom H6?Now i I connect them through a type c adapter and can be powered by usb.I want to know how to free loop instead of one button after another loop?Sorry so much question from me.Because I really amazing for ipad pro and keystep pro that can make compositions.
@WasabiNoise2 жыл бұрын
I have an older iPad so it has a lightning port, with the usb-c you’ll need a powered usb-c hub but I don’t know which, maybe a forum/reddit would be better for the question. In my case I use the zoom h6 to record audio, it’s not connected to the iPad via usb.
@payne04103 жыл бұрын
So you connected to the iPad with the Camera Kit, but what are you using for sound output? Thanks.
@WasabiNoise3 жыл бұрын
I used a powered USB hub with a Focusrite 2i4 and recorded the sound into a Zoom H6. From the Zoom I always have the line output to the camera, but it sounds really bad on the Sony 6500, so I record it on the Zoom and use the camera audio to sync it all up on Adobe Premiere. Hope that helps, thank you for the comment!

DOES it work with Apple ipadpro and wich connection kit do we need thkx
@WasabiNoise4 жыл бұрын
My iPad Pro 1st gen has a lightning connection so I need the Apple adapter for USB that also has power.!But it works just by connecting it to the iPad. At worst you would need to use the power adapter included in the Keystep in case the iPad Pro can’t power it just with the USB.

I use Ableton, would the Beatstep Pro be good with the Keystep Pro, or should I pair it with something more like the Launchpad Pro?
@WasabiNoise3 жыл бұрын
I guess it depends on your workflow. Beatstep and Keystep are good sequencers for jamming and making music live. I never had a launchpad pro but I like its note layout in 4ths, I love my Push 2 for that, makes working with any scale super easy.
@jdssurf3 жыл бұрын
@@WasabiNoise so would a push along with keystep pro be a pretty awesome pair, or pointless, sry bro im newer, i want to jam live stuff but also create and write songs in ableton, im still learning workflow.....sooooooo lol..........what do you think
@WasabiNoise3 жыл бұрын
Haha I don’t have an answer... I’d try not to buy a lot of things when starting out if you are just making music. I like the Push but I use maybe 10% of it’s potential. It’s a good idea to buy stuff when you know it’s purpose.... but hey, I also buy stuff that I’m not sure yet how it’s going to get used to see if it inspires me. Difficult question lol

@@WasabiNoise well i have ableton lite and think im gonna stick with ableton. I have a Moog Werkstatt with CV I have a Neutron. Nice headphone amp. Scarlet 2i4 interface. 305 jbl monitors. 27 inch dual dell monitors. Pocket Operator Sub. Ipad. Pure Acid App. Regular Keystep. Alesis qs7 keyboard. Been playing around for awhile but i want to pick up the Keystep Pro and sell the regular Keystep. So once I get the Keystep Pro, Im trying to figure out what I will use for all my drumming to go with everything. Im a long time bass and guitar player, and keys.........just wanna get a propper electronic set up..............just wanna pair something reputable with the Keystep Pro for drumming and using with ableton too. If you come up with any ideas let me know.
@WasabiNoise3 жыл бұрын
Got ya! I would check kzbin.info KZbin channel. She has some Push tips on making live music. She sequences the drums in the Push. So that would pair well with the Keystep Pro.
