I remember I learned this whole thing back in 2014 note by note, you got the tap part much cleaner than mine though! But I understand how frustrating it can be, I also had to create a backing track for it to perform it live and man was it crazy! Hands down the most time consuming and technique driven solo I've ever learned! Good shit man!

Cindy Z yeah it had to be developed from when you are young as an adult it would be very difficult to get a perfect pitch. Luckily I was young enough to develop it. I really avoided looking at tabs just listen to.the song over and over to where I could just hear the guitar parts in my head eventually your start to put the patterns together on the fretboard. More you do it more you notice the change.

its like tapping a natural harmonic on an open string. When you fret a note you are essentially moving the nut for that note. if you know where to tap, you can divide the string while fretted in the same way you can when you divide the string with natural harmonics on an open string, whit is fretted at fret 0, or the nut.

Thanks, man! I'm really not much of a lesson guy, but some advice i could give would be, over three strings at first, to make sure your right hand is properly sweeping like you're playing a chord, not picking. Get that down before you start playing notes. Then, definitely practice with a metronome, slightly bumping up the tempo once you play it clean. It's obviously going to take some time to really get it down, so be patient!
