Ark: Medium House V2 - How To Build

welcome to my ARK: Survival Evolved how to build/tutorial on a medium house. I show you how to build an updated version of my medium house, this video is more time efficient, easier to follow and has much improved audio. This house has a spacious ground floor that has room for storage, cooking, living and crafting. The first floor is the same size as the ground floor so you have plenty more room for you ark needs. There is also an attic/loft that is a 5x2 in size and has skylights for awesome natural light. The two tall bay windows at the front of the house also give off natural light so you don't have to have torches on during the day. This build is very versitile and can be built anywhere, it's made of stone, wood and greenhouse and is easy to build. This medium house is just the right size to allow you to build a dino pen off the back of it and would look cool with different add ons.

Dude I feel that. I literally can not get the one to place correctly. I've tried multiple times at multiple angles and still no luck. Cycling to the snap point you want doesn't seem to work either. Definitely frustrating

@Lewis Perry the thatch walls he puts behind the first floor doorframe helps a ton with placing the upper windows. Also idk if ur pc or console but on console R1(RB) and Triangle(Y) help a ton!

Just built this tonight on Xbox! Had little trouble with the bay windows snapping probably an Xbox thing but I got it eventually so stoked on my new base can't wait to decorate it tomorrow! Thanks so much perfect size base with beautiful features 😍 ❤

There is another technique you could use for the windows. First place a thatch sloped wall left on the foundation and then select the doorframe, you will see that there are 2 snap points, 1 that will replace the sloped wall and 1 just in front of the sloped wall, snap the door frame to the snap point that is in front. Once places you can then snap the greenhouse wall behind the doorframe. Hope this helps!

Heya! I'm struggling with stone pillars. One side doesn't match with another. I've tried to re-build it like 7 times and it still won't work ;( Maybe you know why?

This build is incredibly frustrating. Snap points are vicious. The thing that upsets me the most is there was nothing in the materials list stating wooden double door frames and the greenhouse ceilings need to be sloped.

Trying to build anything in this game for me is an unholy nightmare. The snap points constantly changing on you even though you aren't moving makes me wanna flip my computer desk. I really don't know how you build so effortlessly without that happening to you

I know the pain lol It's all tied to the frame rate. Back when I was playing on console it was alot harder and very annoying especially when trying to record smooth videos, now i'm on pc and the frame rate is higher it's alot easier but I still have issues. It's just the way the game is and you gotrta keep at it.

On Cue also, personally I’d use the loft/attic as extra storage space. Plus the skylight is a good idea, except it makes rooftop burglary an issue

Currently on lost island but I'm unable to craft "wooden roof" is that the same as ceiling? seeing as you labeled others as sloped roofs I figured it had to be the same but you have 51 wooden ceilings and then 50 wooden roofs

This is a great looking house, don't get me wrong. But the build process was an absolute NIGHTMARE for me, especially the front windows, can't tell you how many times I had to rebuild those doorframes and glass windows

The windows and doorframes is the single hardest thing I've had to do in this game, it says it will go to the lower snap point ok, so it will go where it says right? NOPE I used 47 greenhouse walls on the front...

Sometimes ark snpa points can be glitchy, try changing the angle you are looking at the snap point, if that doesn't work try snaping a ceiling off of the triangle foundation and then snap the fence foundation to the triangle foundation, that always works for me.

It's not a mod it's creative mode. Just go to the settings before you load the game and it's a box you tick for it to show up and you can fly and spawn stuff in

Re doing this video, I was doing the first one and when you put the wood pillars on I was like...ok..what's up..then I saw this was newer etc. Video helped alot with getting used to how to place stuff etc. I designed a dilo hut straight out back 8 blocks from the back door and it ties in nicely.

just play in creative mode that way you can craft all structures at no cost. cheat gcm is the command.

Basically the foundation looks like a wall, it’s hard to explain. Basically, the foundation ‘wall’ beneath the floor will look like a wall depending on material used (stone, thatch, etc.)
