Jimmy knows how to get it out of these kids... And he will... You all will see... Benny Williams is the most important player on this team...

Benny stunk out of the gate today and took a seat, exactly where he belonged based on his early play. He was a completely different player when he entered the game with 3+ minutes left in the first half, and he carried that effort into the second half. When the light bulb goes on for him, he can be their best forward. Syracuse needs him to play to his ability. Did anyone else think that Jesse's third foul should have been called on Quadir (I think that was the forward in there on that play)? Jesse had his arms straight up but the other Cuse forward pushed the guy when he elevated. I thought that was a blown call. I also didn't like the 4th foul called on Jesse as it looked like Jesse did everything he could to avoid contact, backing away from the guy with his hands up and back. Two key calls that changed the game. Gotta get those right.

Yep, Bennie missed a couple of rebounds while on the bench. He has got to rebound while he is on the bench. We practice this all the time. Four or five games ago coach said in a press conference practice is not important because game speed and the fact you practice against the same guys doesn't prepare you enough. I nearly broke my neck at the time because central in his list of commandments is you don't practice you don't play. Alan Iverson would never had played here. The guys that really need to help are the guards, they tend to ball watch.

What he was implying 5 games ago was his players need game experience. Not a stretch statement by any means.

Coach, how about you speed dial Derrick Coleman and give the forwards an intense workout on how to rebound? Just sayin....this rebounding issue sounds like a broken record already.

Practices are important but they don't count. If I went to see a play and actors were forgetting their lines, doors wouldn't open and somebody falls off the stage, is somebody going to tell me that the rehearsal was great, and I should have been there?

Positives: Jim bleeds Orange, 2nd best winning percentage in Collage Bball Negatives: Worst coach ever at dealing with press. Dude, just treat them like the professionals they are, a little rapport goes a long way. Also Stop berating your players in public. Benny Williams is the poster child. Kid works so hard to please you, constantly looking over his shoulder. A little positive re-enforcement goes a long way. I seriously think Jim should have to watch both seasons of Ted Lasso and then do a press conference on what he learned

Great Coach? Of Course! BUT the guy has turned into a real downer. Its just a matter of time before he tells the press to. "Get off my lawn" ..lol!
