Left sweden to live in syria in 2012 and still there✌graduated from damascus university faculty of Dentistry 2 weeks ago , Syria is still standing producing hundreds of doctors and teachers and engineers each year from damascus uni to Aleppo to Hama to lattakia ,we didn't stop even through hard times we kept going cause we knew it's us who will keep this country standing our persistence to live to peruse our dreams to not let anything stop us,we see life in our people eyes we see hope of a better tomorrow rising from our hard work. Those of you wishing to see syria thinking nothing is still the same there i recommend you stop taking your views from the news cause it's only showing you what they want you to see and start see with your own eyes through your own mind and come visit if you truly want your eyes opened. God bless Syria❤

I love how ‘human’ Middle-Eastern cities are. Like an actual city, you know. Little shops, cafés and boutiques, small streets packed with artists, market stalls, busy and noisy. Not like the gridworks of most contemporary cities, where people(myself included unfortunately) live by the highway, the stoplight and the grand office blocks that turn into miniscule ghost towns after 17:00. Might be good for the economy, but terrible for the mind. Well, my mind anyway. Thanks for the video Chris, and to whomever lives in Damascus: you’ve got a beautiful hometown!

Since you are so poetic about Damascus then you should watch this 4K video which is more than 2 hours long mostly in the old city of Damascus kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqvPeYuGbqeeo80

If anyone is interested, Damascus is intact, even more modernized and beautified since this video was filmed. Another note: the video shows Damascus, whereas the music is famous for being Aleppian. Someone should have given him a list of Damascene vs Aleppian music.

MrEdnz yeah i didn't mean that syria is all safe the bombing is happening , because the army want to finish from the rebels , and the rebels are making these bombs just because they dont want the army to win and because they're so scared !!!! So if we finish from the rebels we will finaly finish the war 😊😊😊 because we kill isis and free syrian army , so we have to finish from the rebels and islamic army , jabhit al nosra , if we finish from these group we will finaly finish from all the war , and thanks god we're safe thanks for asking 😊

There is the ATM's yes? Have you been back since? Would have to fly into Beirut or Amman. No Int'l landing in Dam. Only to middle easteners only i would think. Have you a line or two you can shoot back at me? Jo........... California. Good job Chris! I had to stop and rewind etc., etc., ect. to get fill and the thrill.

+Campylobacter Jejuni That's if you are speaking about the greater Damascus. Damascus (the city) remains sound and untouched by any battle whatsoever. However, the countryside of Damascus (which contains huge suburbs) is greatly damaged. It takes an extremely regular guy who's actually from Damascus to know this.

@discojelly4 жыл бұрын
Why would we want to destroy it? Great place, great city I'll agree we should have not been involved in the conflict against isis nor any support for any rebel group. We currently have a president who apperently thinks no one tells HIM what to do, and even HE wants us not to be involved there. When that conflict began, many in our congressional leaders urged our then president Obama not to not be involved. If American leaders want to destroy that city.. they haven't said anything to us voters. Wishing the best for everyone there.. its nice to see things returning to normal.
