Silver Spike I didn't say it was obligatory first off...... And it isn't in most Muslim majority countries bar Saudi..... And Iran they put on some half falling scarf, so that's just two. But every freaking time there is a hijab in a video u have these dumb ass ppl judging, being ahhh its so sad, ahhh they're oppressed, a very arrogant condescending and prejudicial view, that's all I'm saying.

I know there are Syrian Christians and Syrian muslims who don’t wear Hijab but I don’t see the problem you have with the video. BTW it does not matter if you are Arab or not because Arab is a race but Islam is a religion. As a Syrian, I am proud of this diversity and multiculturalism is my country. The point of hijab is to protect women from harasment in ancient times... By wearing it in modern times, you say it is okay that men harass women, instead og changing the view that men have on women. There is a reason that rapes are lower in countries that allows women to wear what they want, or where they have not been wearing the hijab.
@fistofram5526
@fistofram5526 5 жыл бұрын
Lol this is so bullshit wtf. So there's less rape in a especificação country because of clothing? Do you realize that uh, rape can be performed while inside? This hijab is poisonous dogshit. Oh, please. I'd like you to find one woman dare wear a hijab in Iraq during the reign of Saddam Hussein. The Baath ideology secularized these places, made the muslims leave their backwards ways and made them safe for Christians. My father went through an interrogation in Iraq for wearing a beard, he got out of it due to him being a christian, with a warning. Long beards were signs of islamism, and only the imams were allowed to have them. A muslim sheikh in Bagdad was executed for speaking badly of the Christians and Jews in the 1980's. That is how you build a country, you make the muhammedans ask for permission to return to their barbaric habits, and you only grant them the right if they have good reason for it.

It's true that the woman doesn't necessarily look very "Syrian" (she could from the Gulf region or south Asia for that matter) but I find it distasteful that the comments are full of "but she's not Syrian, Syrians are white and beautiful!!!" as if white = beauty, and also "Syrian women don't wear hijab stop lying!!!" as if there is something shameful about being from a country where women wear hijab. There's no need to lie about it. Have some pride in your country and your heritage

Oh and by FAR the most infuriating thing about the (predominately) Muslim versions of these videos is the pitying, patronising comments from people who have absolutely no knowledge or connection to these countries writing things like: "oh poor souls, their freedom is gone :( Look they're wearing extra material on their heads! Oh, I wish we could save them" - newsflash dear: we don't need nor want your "saving", we have our own minds, we make our own decisions. Keep your insincere, irrelevant meddling selves to yourselves.

Grainne McKeown Well they have to deal with the fact that this hypothetical video is about the island, Great Britain and not the UK. Plus three screens sounds a little cramped already, a video with four split screens would 100% be very busy, and squished. The only ways I see it is, split Great Britain into three different videos, or merge all three into one style per decade and have that represent the whole island. I guess Scotland and Wales would have some cultural differences that set them apart. England I see being a lot like America though.

0:43 This is the exact hairstyle my grandma used to have in the 80s 😂❤ And if you watch syrian tv shows from the 80s, you'll see how every actress back then had the same hairstyle

Guys, the models usually wear a strapless or bando bra, or something to expose their shoulders. Any clothing shown would distract from the makeup, and they would have to change it every time. But they aren't naked.

I actually really love that last scene where she makes that peace sign with the Syrian flag, the best part from the whole vid to be honest for many reasons.

+infeta No shit? But who supports all sorts of rebels in Syria, both so-called moderate ones and Islamic State butchers? The West that loves so much these trivial peace signs, suitable for brainwashed masses! Americans and their European servants sell weapons to Saudi Arabia which delivers it to ISIS in Syria and aid pro-Western opposition in fighting against president Assad. When they stop acting as real hypocrites a steady peace will be possible in Syria.
