This band is from Armenia.

J Navarro Its members all have Armenian origins.

J Navarro Yet I admit, my wording was incorrect. The band is not from Armenia. It was indeed formed in the 90's in California, completely integrated in its culture. As its members all lived there for a long time, they are Californian too. And so is their music, if you pay attention, you can tell there's some exotic mix into it. I was in such a hurry to get to that part about their sounds having traditional Armenian music sprinkled onto it that I took a shortcut. :) In that song for instance, I find it in the vocals of the "father" part, when they go "trust in my self righteous suicide" for the second time. It is then that the fact that they are all "Armenian" (even if born in different countries) becomes interesting to point out. Especially to someone discovering the song.

J Navarro No, I've never been there unfortunately. But it sounds like the place in the US where most ppl from the Armenian diaspora went. on a side note, California looks like the best place in the country, imo. Right after NYC. I know it's cliché, but still :)

@@jn1346 Never been to TX either. Only been to Boston, Rhode Island, and... NY, you guessed it. I'm not from the US (I'm from France), but I think it really is a great country, on many aspects. I love Jack Black's vlogs cruising the restaurants and arcades of California :p makes me want to go live there. I love the South of France because it's always sunny, and so is California, so... I plan on visiting there some day, definitely: LA (will insist on Glendale, now :p), Vegas (just for one day), SF... Very appealing to me. I love The RHCP too, lol

Damn brother I forgot how mind blowing this was! I was at a bad place in life when this came out and I didn’t appreciate it as much as I just did. As always your reaction adds so much to my favorite songs!

"is that a hotel parking lot???" I think you should react to St Anger by Metalica
