Hehe, no, those are inhale growhls, you it's just inhale fry, so if you're fry is unstable you'll get this sound. Fry is very easy, it's just doesn't click sometimes especially after you sing a lot. So those are not struggles.

some of these are his voice aging and him taking a path of less resistance. there are artists that only scream on the record and dont do it live or only do it live when they feel right about it. I think if serj was ACTUALLLY a screamer we would see more of it. Theres also a lot of him ad libbing and experimenting. very few of these are actual fails.
