Here’s an idea for the BG-12LX, every once in a while, switch out the front cover for another bg-12, that way it allows you to have more variety, while still being able to use “different” pull stations!

Not sure if you remember me. I’m the guy you tried to help with the system sensor 2424/2412 detector. In the end I decided to just use a 2400 instead but I still appreciate your help! I am now retired as a fire alarm collector but I am keeping almost half my collection for memories. The two things I never got to do is set up a fire alarm panel and have sorta fire alarm collector conversations like you do with SER safety in the video. Sad, but it’s ok. Well, I hope you’ll check out my fire alarm videos at some point. Merry Christmas!

I have a question, if I test my nicad battery exit sign, combo, and emergency lights a couple times a day, will that negatively effect the battery? Thanks

Testing it often is generally ok. Maybe testing it everyday for a year or so could effect the battery a bit. But I wouldn’t worry about it too much if you are just testing it for a few seconds, a few times a day.

ExitSign250 what I mean is normally EST Genesis series alarms are fixed code 3 and in this video you can hear that the chime is doing continues, thus you got have of the uncommon models that does continues or you broke the code 3 circuit.

No, in this video the Genesis was doing code 3. All EST Genesis horns and horn strobes are capable of doing continuous. You simply break a jumper on the inside, and that’s it. I haven’t broken that jumper on mine.
