I was there! I called out sick from work and drove my ass up there as fast as I could. People were warned to "not come early," so I showed up, stood across the street, and waited for someone to show. I was lucky enough to be #9. I'm the guy with the tan coat and the black bandana, standing towards the rear.

Thanks a million for this. I'm one of the many whose laptop wouldn't allow this video to be downloaded. June 5th won't get here fast enough! And by the way, just because DT go from a minor chord to its relative major DOESN'T MEAN THEY'RE RIPPING OFF MUSE!

A criticism of a SONG contained in the beginning of a video is not shitting on a video. But then again, it's advisable not to voice any criticisms whatsoever in the Soviet State of Dream Theater Fanboys. Since it's necessary to restate: this is an interesting TWENTY MINUTE video, and I appreciate the uploader for uploading it.

The overall Muse comparison didn't enter the discussion until you mentioned it. It's not about Muse quality versus Dream Theater quality. It's not about saying Dream Theater are a bad band. It's about riffs sounding remarkably like Muse riffs on numerous occasions and it being disappointing, because the fact of us being DT FANS shows we do care about their music.

Umm...no, they recorded another DT song and like any other band, they let their influences show through. Out of curiosity, which Muse song do you think it was? Sucks that you would make such a comment without hearing the whole song.

Interesting comment. Great to see how Dream Theater openly admits that they take influences from all their favorite bands, and lay out the cd's that they want to incorporate into their songs. They started as a fan band, and they still kinda are in a lot of ways. This is self-admitted of them, so nice try at an insult. Dream Theater making something in the more simplistic style of Muse is an honor IMO

Everyone, I appreciate everyone's opinion but please, let's not turn this into a bash thread or make too much speculation. Out of respect for Dream Theater, let's keep the discussion to the content of the video until after Systematic Chaos has been released. So if you want to comment on the song in the video(Prophets of War), go ahead. That is all we have to go on, so leave it at that. gspot27/solitary glen

This. Muse is great, but DT are going a little overboard on the intro, the song will probably be the anti-Muse, so to speak.

1 - I'm a metal elitist. Don't use that top 40 shit against me. 2 - I have a talent that allows me to see the future of DT's music. this time it worked and it looks bad according to the other 2 FULL songs that are available on the internet. Check it. It's looks like DT are nu-metal now.
