The textbooks being white washed is why everyone is dumbfounded when they watch a documentary of stuff like Tulsa Race Massacre. None even knows the truth abt stuff like that until someone makes a movie or does a show. Sad. Great episode here tho!

Another way to fund education , mental health services, and job training would be to reduce military funding. After ending America’s longest war what did Congress do? _Increase_ military funding by 5%. Why does the Pentagon need _more_ money when we’re no longer at war?

In high school, I read about Lincoln's reluctance to end slavery. He felt forced to make changes by the secessionists. After that, I never bought the "conventional" version of history. I don't remember if I saw your exact quote. Context matters. Thank you for your efforts to educate us all.

Shouldn't schools in neighborhoods with lower property values get more money to make up for what parents obviously can't afford? Rich people can supplement and donate, but poor people can't afford to do that in large amounts. The scale should be reversed! Why are we not dishing out money more or less equally...or with a mind to bringing all schools up to excellence?

It's no secret our country has made grave mistakes in it's history. It's these very mistakes that should have already been learned from but can't because the awareness isn't there.
